Hey All,
Sorry I've been MIA on the board. I've been fighting a severe migraine since Monday (still fighting it in fact!)
Anyways, we had a great anniversary weekend! Saturday, we went to Opus One in Detroit for dinner. Since one of our friends works for their events & catering side, she surprised us by calling the restaurant and telling them to take care of us. We got a complimentary bottle of champagne AND a half pound of dark chocolate to take home!! The owner even came out and spoke with us for awhile. We made sure to talk our friend up to him because she's fabulous!
Dinner was so delicious! I had the duck and DH had their surf and turf. We also ordered desserts - creme brulee and a chocolate tower.
Sunday we originally planned on going to an apple orchard, but the weather was not cooperating. So we went to breakfast at the Cozy Cafe in Downtown Plymouth, then drove around all of Canton looking at neighborhoods and houses. While we are not thinking about moving any time soon, we want to see what our options were in our area.
After that, we took Loki on a bike ride, caught up on our DVR. Then I made a Crockpot Mac & Cheese which turned out well, but needs some tweeking for next time!

botanicalbliss - what are you anniversary plans!?
Re: **botanicalbliss & co.** Re: anniversary weekend
Ick - sorry to hear about the migrane! That really stinks!
I'm so glad you had a fun weekend! The food sounds amazing and HALF A POUND of dark chocolate - wow! Yum! I love downtown Plymouth, but I haven't ever been to Cozy Cafe. I'll have to try it out sometime. Driving around looking at houses is one of my favorite things to do. We aren't seriously looking yet either, but we love to look at houses and imagine.
We are planning to go to the Toledo Zoo (weather permitting) on Saturday followed by a super fancy dinner somewhere in downtown A2. If the weather fails, we might do the Toledo Art Museum, the DIA, or some of the U of M museums. Sunday will probably be a lounging day - movies and carry-out. I'm excited to crack into our leftover wedding donut. That's right, we had a giant donut instead of a cake! It was super fun.
I can't wait for the weekend!!!

Oooh, I should have thought of the museum!! Have fun. Do you know what restaurant you will be going to in A2?
Nah, we haven't figured it out yet. I was thinking maybe The Gandy Dancer, Cafe Zola, or Pacific Rim. Knowing us, we'll probably get lazy and go somewhere cheap we always go lol!
