Re: Thankful Thursday
I'm thankful that DH is coming home tomorrow after being gone for two weeks. I'm starting to get really bored.
I'm thankful that my creepy neighbor moved his cars, which I found blocking my driveway when I got home late last night.
I'm thankful that it is Thursday and the Epiphanie bag that I ordered is due to be delivered today... It has been sitting in Laurel for the past two days according to UPS tracking and I don't get why they couldn't get it to me before end of the day today... but I'm just happy it's coming before DH gets home to see yet ANOTHER box be delivered!
I am thankful for our new apartment and the opportunity it provides to get away from my crazy neighbor (you know it is bad when you change property management companies and they say "Oh, we're so sorry you had to deal with X").
I am thankful for the second bedroom that is going to be my craft/ guest room and the exciting opportunity to decorate, and that when people come to visit us they'll get their own space instead of camping in our living room.
I am thankful that the Cardinals are in the World Series and that they won last night!
Finally, I'm thankful for my H who is putting up with all of the baseball watching even though he hates it!
Stand up for something you believe in.
I'm thankful that the kitty in dire straits two weeks ago is now up and around and doing much better! We think he had a blood clot on his spine that paralyzed his hind legs, and we didn't know if he'd ever walk again, but he is! We hope to thwart future blood clots with some aspirin treatment the vet recommended.
Also thankful for an abundance of friends/family - looking forward to seeing one for happy hour tonight, SILs for dinner after, and staying with a bestie and her husband in Charlottesville this weekend.
I am thankful DD slept until 7am this morning and that I am still in my PJs since I'm working from home today.
I'm thankful that my smoky tomatillo chicken dish turned out so great last night and I'm thankful there are leftovers for lunch.
Food and sleep. Apparently that's all I need to make me happy.
I'm thankful to have wrapped up a few loose ends at work so I don't have to worry all weekend about what I'm missing out on (I'm leaving for the week at 1).
I'm thankful that because I just had to schedule an appt. with the doctor for this afternoon., I'll actually be home whenever my parents arrive for the weekend. (Not so thankful for my vertigo, but hopefully I'll get good meds and be back on track soon.)
I'm thankful for DD's birthday (also today, claraj - what a weird coincidence!), and the two years of something special she's brought us - good and not so good.
I am thankful I can finally reply to this post, as I'm having some funky issues with replying!
I am thankful that even when it's hard for me to crawl out of bed and I feel sick, my DS shows me with chatter, songs and hugs that each morning is worth celebrating.
i am thankful that i love my dentist and that i am done with all major dental is done! (extra thanks to the nestie who recommended dr. porvaznik, he's great.)
i am thankful that when i get home tonight my house will have been cleaned by someone else
i'm thankful that i get to spend the weekend with a dear friend, see her pregnant belly, and show her & her boyfriend around town (it is his first trip to DC & she hasn't been in almost ten years).
i am thankful that we leave for our first vacation in 2+ years one month from today!
I am thankful that I am finally, finally getting an iPhone! I called Verizon yesterday and it turns out DH's phone was eligible for an upgrade. We talked about it, and he let me take the upgrade--he's definitely not as into gadgets as me. So, it should be here soon! Yay.
I am thankful that work is busy, and that since becoming an FTE (with concurrent raise) we really have not been worried about money at all lately and are actually credit card-debt free AND socking away a ton of money into savings. Hopefully by this time next year we'll be in a new place!

I'm thankful for a weekend of no plans, so we can finally tackle the last few boxes from our move.
I'm thankful that my boss is so easy going and that he recognizes that I'm a dependable, good worker.
I'm thankful for my free zumba class tonight. Last week we danced to Thriller- it was awesome!

I'm also thankful for the beautiful fall weather we're having.
i am thankful that after an irregular mammogram discovered some lumps, an ultrasound determined that my mom has nothing to worry about. with her aunt just diagnosed with breast cancer, it was a nerve wracking waiting period for the ultrasound appointment.
i am also thankful that the last time sprout threw up was at 5am this morning. don't know what his issue was, but it doesn't seem like he's feeling bad any longer! woohooo!!!!
