Do you send them out?
Do you get worked up if you send one but don't get one in return?

I ask because I think I am nixing Christmas cards this year. I won't not send out a card, but rather a Thanksgiving card. Thanksgiving has always been "my" holiday, it means so much more to me (or should I say, has a more special place in my heart) than Christmas and I like to be different.
Do you get worked up if you send one but don't get one in return?
Do you expect them from certain people?

I've sent them out since having Alex, and have done photo cards. H and I have a lot of family that we only see once every few years, so hopefully they enjoy the pics.
I don't even pay attention to who gives me a card. I send cards to those I want to, and if we get one back, great. If not, I probably won't even notice.
I have come to expect them from certain people just because they do it every year. Otherwise, not really.
I'm also more of a Thanksgiving fan than Christmas, go for it, be different.
It was either last year or the year before that I didn't send any out. I'm not sure if I'll send out any this year or not.
If I do, I might send a photo card with the girls on it.
ETA: No, I don't really expect to get any...it seems that less and less are sent out each year.

We send them out very randomly. I don't think we sent them the last 2 years, but the 2 years before we did. Odd. I don't know if we will send them this year or not. I think we may just to give everyone our currently Columbia address since most people have our KC address.
And as far as receiving them...I don't notice who I send to that doesn't send them back.
You know I always wonder who actually buys the Halloween or thanksgiving cards at he store. Now I know it's Trickey!
We send a photo card every year. Our relatives look forward to seeing the kitties and this year they will get to see Molly too. I don't get bothered by people who don't send cards. However if someone sends us a card I always make sure to send one back to them.
Do you send them out? I try to, but it doesn't always happen! Last year I did get them sent out because I wanted to send out a picture of Marshall. I don't do photo cards, but I put a print of Marshall in all the cards.
Do you get worked up if you send one but don't get one in return? No, but if I get a card from somebody that I didn't send one to I try to get one in the mail for them because I'm afraid they might be upset if they sent me one and didn't get one from us.

Do you send them out? Since Kodi was born, we usually send a picture card. This year's holiday card will be a Happy New Year card and birth announcement combined.
Do you get worked up if you send one but don't get one in return? No. We usually get more in than what we send out.
Do you expect them from certain people? Not really. I guess I expect one from my mom but that's it.

The only year we sent a card was before our wedding - they were our save the dates. I think about sending them every year, but I never actually get around to doing it.

Usually do not send them out. I did last year, but only because I had a coupon code for 50 free photo cards. I don't mind not getting them in return, as I usually don't return. I expect them from certain people but only because they always send them.
We've been sending photo cards out for several years now. I think there was one year we didn't get around to it--probably 2009. We were struggling with infertility and I was in a pretty bad place emotionally that December, so I was not much into doing a lot of the things I normally do.
In general, I am a big fan of traditional mail--for "fun mail" anyway. I love invitations, thank you cards, Christmas cards, etc. so we always like the opportunity to mail people stuff. I hate paying for the postage, though!
We don't really pay much attention to who sends one back to us, though I do enjoy receiving them.

Do you expect them from certain people? No. I'm not sure my friends really do Christmas cards. Most are from co-workers and family. I've gotten Thanksgiving cards before.
I bought the Vistaprint groupon, so I ordered some and we'll send them out this year. We're hit and miss...I randomly decide to send them out sometimes but we don't normally do it.
We sent out some as roommates in college one year...there were a bunch of the misprints for some reason set out at Walmart so we took a whole stack and they were awkward pictures of people who weren't us with words spelled incorrectly. They were pretty hilarious and everyone who got them commented on how "lovely" they were!:)
I don't expect any in return, but I think they're fun to get!
