More Decor Questions
You're going to be pretty sick of these by the time we actually move in to our new place. It is official as of today that we got the apartment, so...
We now have a spare bedroom/ craft room. It is important for this to have a semi-comfortable sofa bed/ futon because we live far away from family and friends, as well as a workspace for my sewing machine.
Here's what I've come up with so far-
We can't change the paint or the carpet, and we'll have to buy all new furniture for this room, so if you hate what I picked, find me something reasonably priced to replace it.
The Marimekko fabric swatch on the couch is going to be used for pillows and maybe also curtains- I have enough of it and it is nice, decor weight sateen cotton.
I need a lamp as well.
Anyone want to help build the room?

Do you need a floor lamp or a desk lamp? I'd definitely check Home Goods for those.
Do you like gold? If you do, I think some gold accessories would look great with the other colors you have going on in the room. Maybe the lamp base could be gold along with some vases, frames or a mirror? I know some people hate it (i.e.-Josh) but I think it would look great in there!

How would you feel about the desk being green and doing more gold accessories?
I have the marimekko fabric in a yellow/ gold obre with cream flowers (same print, different colorway) that I could use to blend and make some pillows out of. Thoughts?

The desk could be cute green...especially with gold hardware. Maybe you could find a second hand one and paint it. Here's some inspiration:

I like the idea of the gold fabric too! Maybe you could make a desk chair cushion with it too (depending on what type of chair you go with).
