It seems like the last week every time I put Wesley in the car seat, he FREAKS out and screams. He is 19 months old, and he is rear-facing- don't want to start this debate, but I intend to keep him that way until he's 2 anyway. He's a peanut so he will not get too big for the car seat anytime soon.
We have a 20 minute drive each morning and afternoon to daycare, and he used to just babble away, but he now screams for about 18 minutes of it and then calms down. (Could this be related to his ear infection? Today was day 6 on meds) Anyway, ideas to keep him happy would be appreciated!
Also, for those of you who have asked- we have a meeting with Early Access today (set up through AEA) for them to evaluate Wesley after his CHAT concerns. I am nervous but glad to get the ball moving to help Wesley as he needs it!
Re: Keeping Wes happy in the car...
We have a MangaDoodle in the car for Maddie when she gets fussy. She doesn't scream but that seems to keep her busy. I don't know if it would help Wes, might it might be worth a shot. I know that Target has some smaller "travel" sized ones that are $2 or $3 if you wanted to give it a try.
Keep us posted about the appt, hope it all goes well!
I don't have a ton of suggestions for the car as I tend to resort to food
I just wanted to day keep me posted on the appt and subsequent plan for Wes! I hope all goes well at the initial appointment.
