NSOR: What's on your wish-list this holiday season?

My mom is asking for my Christmas list and I'm struggling to think of things that aren't either A) super expensive (like the $800 lens I want) or B) a Gift Card (she hates buying gift cards).

Maybe seeing what everyone else is asking for will spark an idea for me...

So, what's on your list this holiday season?

Re: NSOR: What's on your wish-list this holiday season?

  • -Clothes. Clothes, clothes and more clothes. All of mine are getting to be big and  saggy and I can't really afford to buy new ones all the time. My mom has pretty good taste so I know I can count on her for that (minus pants).

    -car charger for my phone

    -pajamas

I found a nice watch I think I will buy myself. I've been saving all my change (loonies and twonies-$1 and $2 coins) for a while now and I figure by Christmas I'll have enough to buy it.

  • a job lol I'm a big fan of gift cards, too. Especially for my Kindle

    -Bones season 6

That's about it really...wow. I remember when I'd use the Toys R Us guide as my wish list

  • Work clothes and a nice purse.  All of mine are falling apart.

BF will probably buy me something tech since that's his comfort zone.  He's got a lot of room to choose something since I don't even own an MP3 player.  I'd rather have a spa day though.  We'll see.

    This is my siggy.
  • Clothing.... that is pretty much it!

  • I want something that isn't tangible... I found out last week my 14 year old dog is in chronic kidney failure. Crying  I just want a dog that isn't sick.

They see us rollin'...they be hatin'.
  • Pajamas and maybe a computer for my Spinning bike?  I'm not sure.

I'd love for my rings to sell around the holidays--that would be gift enough.

  • a lens for my DSLR is pretty much all I need/want.  I also would love to upgrade to the Kindle Fire but I don't think either one of those will be possible this year.  Sigh..

I also need new perfume.  I'm sick of what I have been wearing for the past 10 years.

My 11-year-old dog is headed down this path too.  I'm so sorry RP.

  • Thanks, ladies. Last week wasn't a very good week for me.

  • Rain boots with liners, comfy sheets, and lots of things for my new house that I'll hopefully be in before December
  • My mom really struggles with buying for me because I have pretty specific taste in clothes and I think, while her heart is in the right place, her taste is simply different than mine.  Last year I made a wish list on Forever 21.com.  You can make wishlists on lots of sights like victoria's secret, amazon, forever 21,etc.  Why not try something like that?

For Christmas this year I haven't even thought that far out.  I usually want clothes and I'm definitely in the market for a cute pair of equestrian boots.  I also need a full length mirror for my room since P broke mine.

  • Im also have a hard time this year.  The big thing I want is a laptop but they are expensive so that prob wont happen.  I would also love a new bedding set.  I always get clothes too...my mom and I take a day and go shopping.  while it takes away the element of surprise, I at least know Im getting things that fit and that I like.
  • -new clothes since I am losing weight

-North Face Osito jacket (mine is too big)

    -Spa Day

    -Workout Clothes from Athleta

    -Carpet Cleaner Machine thingy

    imageimageimage
  • I am wishing for a 4 slice toaster.
  • I just did my B-day wish list, so anything that I don't get off that:

    Kitchenaid pasta roller attachment
    Imersion blender
    Cast iron frying pan
Dutch oven (enamel or cast iron)
    Work clothes
Wusthof classic 7" or 9" santuko knife

Side note: I looked at my Xmas list from last year, and the number 1 thing on it was "a job that comandeers respect and pays well," and I am happy to report that I eventually got it!  That made me smile to see how far I've come in a year.

  • A snowboard bag for my trip to CO

    More snowboarding stuff

    that's about it. Hahaha.

  • My BIGGEST wish is that that the house I plan to buy next spring/summer doesn't sell in the next 6 months! It's walking distance to my current house where STBX will stay so managing shared custody will be easier.  It is in diff neighborhood so we'll have needed space (but in the same school district). It's smaller so less to clean and it's 100G cheaper than current house so I can manage a mortgage alone!

A TV for my bedroom (the last one broke a few months ago) and I don't hang in the living room after the kids have gone to bed (as STBX is there).

The Trader Joe's cookbook - I gave one last year and it looked really good.

A lovely framed picture of my boys.

A feeling a peace sprinkled with hope

  • I can't think of a thing. Money, I guess. Confused
    image
  • A paddleboard, specificially the one Marisa Miller just designed.  Im not getting it but one can dream!!
  • Some super luxurious, high thread-count sheets.  Big, fluffy bath towels.  A subscription to National Geographic magazine.  A Keurig coffee maker.  And healthy puppies for everyone :)
