I am going to the World Series-game 2
Hey girls!
I just had to tell you that DH, my mom, and I are going to the World Series game tomorrow night and I am so excited!!! The tickets were very expensive and DH didn't really want to spend the money (very expensive for one night,) but I kept gently bringing it up to him and it is something I always wanted to do. Also, many people said go now before you have kids. So we are going. (I didn't even know if I could get tickets, but I was able to.) I am going with see my favorite team in the World Series with my two favorite people. I also went to a NCLS game last week with DH, my mom, and my aunt! I am a lucky girl!!! As you may remember, we had a Cardinal themed wedding reception with a visit by Fredbird (Cardinals mascot) and had pictures taken at the stadium, so it is only right we go to the World Series!!! For those of you who follow baseball that closely, Cards just won game one!!! (Sorry Braves, Brewers, and Phillies fans....but I am too excited not to share! I feel your pain as we have been in your place many times (i.e. came up short in the regular season or lost in the playoffs.)

How exciting! No hard feelings although I would rather be cheering the Phillies. I must admit, I am not watching the games anymore.
That being said, how cool for you! I agree, this is something to do now, especially since you love the Cards so much! Take lots of pictures and have a blast!

It is definitely very cool for you to be at a game with your favorite team in the World Series! Even though the Cards beat my Braves out of the Wild Card, I hope they do well. I don't really mind who wins the World Series. I'm kind of leaning towards the Rangers cause they have never won it before but we shall see. Watching the game as I type this, very good game! 1-1 in the 9th

It was a great game...especially the first 8 innings when we were winning! DH rooted for the Rangers last year b.c. they had never won it although I rooted for SF. If the Cards were not in it, I would probably be rooting for the Rangers too, lol. We still had a great time and now I have been to a World Series game. We would rather have had it end our favor but it was good baseball either way.
Bravesgirl-I remember your baseball/Braves themed wedding from when you were planning yours and I was planning my Cards one. We should swap pics or become friends on FB. :-)
Very Awesome!!! That is on the bucket list for me and DH. He got tickets to the NLCS last year when the Phils were in it but we couldn't go b/c of my work & school schedules. We are hoping that either the Yanks (my team) or the Phils (his team) get their acts together so we can try to go see them in the playoffs or WS in an upcoming year.

I just read this to DH. He is a HUGE Cards fan (and I'm a Cubs fan, of course!)
His response? "Why didn't I marry a Cards fan?"
