Costume Help
H and I are being zombies for Halloween and last night I decided that we should be "hipster" zombies with the black rimmed glasses, scarves and skinny jeans.
H says no one would know what that was and they'd be totally confused. I disagree.
What do you guys think? Should we be regular old zombies or throw the hipster thing in there? Or some other kind of zombie...suggestions?

I think you just proved H's point! LOL! It's pretty much someone that likes to think they're cooler than others. Like emo/urban outfitters type, but not just because they're laid back. Angry artsy people I guess.

ETA: Not that I have a problem with this type of person, I can wear hipsterish clothes myself on occasion. I just thought it would be funny since H is so clean cut and military. It would be completely out of character for him, hence the costume part. It's not sounding like a great idea now that I type it out.

and it made me think of my dad. When I was little, he would always pretend a banana was a phone. He especially liked doing this in the car while driving (this is before cell phones, be-tee-dubs). I enjoyed the memory.
And now I am thinking my dad is probably a hipster. Well, ya know, an old hipster. I wish I had access to pics of him from when I was younger (and from before I was born...) because dude, he so fit the bill.

I told my ceramics teacher about the idea and she laughed, but H said I probably offended her since she is a hipster (even though she's really not - she's really just artistic and cool, but not angry and TRYING to be cool. I think that's the difference). Now I'm all nervous about offending someone!
Maybe I just want my H to wear skinny jeans so I can laugh all night.
I still think it was hilarious! I put a poll on F&B to get a widespread opinion. We'll see how it goes!
