Engagement Party

One of my best friends is engaged (YAY!) and I'm in the wedding.  Big Smile 

 

Her engagement party is this weekend and I'm stuck on getting her a gift.  Not something too crazy, but just something sweet.  At our engagement party, we go ta lot of picture frames and bottles of wine.  I want to do something different.  

 

My question- was there anything really neat that you received as an engagement present?  What was it?  I'm really curious! :)

    We pretty much only got cards as engagement gifts. I got one of my friends a wedding planning book and a subscription to a bridal magazine. Engagement gifts are tough!

    Fourth Anniversary
    Two of DHs aunts gave us a movie gift basket.   They gave us a few newer wedding movies, a popcorn bowl, popcorn & a few other little things.  They did the same thing with my BIL&SIL the year before- but they got old movies!

    We got this as a Christmas gift last year, but it would work for an engagement gift.  It is kind of similar to Ellen's above.

    It was a night out and a night in.

    For the night out, we got a giftcard to one of our favorite restaurants.

    For the night in, we got a bottle of wine, popcorn, some candy, a movie, and a giftcard to our favorite place to get pizza.   

    It was a really cute idea!

    Those are cute ideas!  :)  They work opposite schedules, so maybe having an extra reason (already paid for.. haha) to have a date would be good. :)
