Our water has been off all day. I just want a shower! ![]()
I just asked again and was told "Maybe later." I'll be super bummed if I have to get on my flight later unshowered. Eww.
This wouldn't be so bad if it didn't happen so often or even if they legitimately fixed the water pump each time. Unfortunately, each time the pump breaks they MacGyver it back together well enough to last for like one more week. So annoying.

Re: Can I whine about not having water?
That sucks. I'm sorry. Is there an airline club at the airport with showers by chance? It might be worth paying the extra cost in this case to use it.
I wish. I totally would do that if there were. It is a very basic lounge.

oh that SUCKS! I cannot function without having showered, so I feel your pain. Once, I went to some kind of sweaty class at the gym (spinning, step, something like that...) and when I came home, super-nasty, the hot water was broken! It was the middle of winter so the cold water was like ICE cold, it terrible, I thought I was gonna die of hypothermia, lol. But that is way better than having no water at all.
Hope it gets fixed soon!
This reminds me of the time the water pipe into my apartment building was accidentally burst during construction while I was living in Budapest. It took me over a day to even find out that was the problem and I went without water for 2 days. It was horrible. Luckily, I was able to crash at a friend's place for a day or two.
I feel your pain, BritsLuna! Hopefully it is fixed so you can shower before the flight!
Oh, that sucks! I totally get wanting to shower when you can't and how frustrating it is when things are your house are broken. Our first apartment in Belgium had a broken freezer about a month in, and when we left it was STILL broken. Our landlord totally sucked, that's why we left. At least yours is trying to fix it - MacGyver counts too!
If you don't get your water fixed, maybe you can pour out the bottle of water they gave you onto a wash cloth and "freshen up" before your flight? Just a suggestion...it might make you feel better

And I got my shower! With an hour to spare!
I am definitely one of those people who is somewhat non-functional without a shower. Even a shower the night before doesn't do the trick for me. So relieved!

I'm the same way - so glad you got your shower!
If it happens that often, it sounds like a pretty good reason to join a gym!
While some of my friends here were renovating the bathroom in their flat, they would just go to the gym every morning to take a shower before work!
This is a good idea. I've done this before too.
I'm glad you were able to take your shower with time to spare.
We have water problems constantly here. Once, they left us with no water for 4 days!! So I bought a jug of water, heated it on my stove and took a "shower" that way. It works, for emergencies.
This is when living near family rocks, when we moved in to our house the water heater wasn't working correctly so I left for work early in my PJs, drove 10 min to my parents house, took a shower and then drove to work!
Back when I lived with my parents and the heater was broken I would ride (barn is by my no DH's place) then shower at Dh's place
I love small countries!
So glad it worked out! I cant think straight in the morning before I shower so I am right there with you!
