When I picked M up from daycare they asked me if I could bring more solids for him because when they feed him and it's all gone he cries.
I feel like I already give him more than what our doc recommends. They want to make sure he is drinking at least 24 ounces of milk a day, most of the time he does this.
WWYD? Give them more solids or tell them to offer more milk?
Re: More solids?
Okay this is what I was wondering, at what age do you start offering more food than milk?
Our pedi said that under the age of 1: as long as LO was consuming 24+ oz of milk/day and turning away food when full (pushing the spoon away, not opening his mouth) he could have a balanced diet of solids as needed, no max/minimum.
Evan wasn't either. I had to push to get him to drink that. He's still not a big milk drinker.
I agree with PP, I'd offer more if he's still taking 24 oz and seems hungry. He'll let you know when he's full
