What's everyone up to this weekend? The weather looks like it's going to be a great fall weekend!
Right now we're on a train to NYC. Then off to Long Island for a wedding tonight (college friend). Drinking, dancing, merriment tonight - yay! Tomorrow we will head into the city for a day of some quick sightseeing and more drinking! Dinner at Babbo, which we are so excited for. Hitting up Columbia (went to grad school there) for a new supply of sweatshirts and such and showing DH around. Brooklyn Brewery is on our list and DH must see the Ghostbusters fire house. Brunch at Mesa Grill before we take the train back on Sunday. It will be a very busy but very fun weekend!
Re: Weekend plans??
Have a good weekend!
Today/tonight - clean the house, do laundry, start raking some leaves
Saturday - get some stuff for our halloween party together, get the guest beds ready, run some errands, have a super late dinner with DH and depending on when he has to leave we'll either go to bed or go out for some drinks.
Sunday - DH leaves for LA and i'm stuck cleaning up the yard and deck! I also plan on drinking some champagne.
We make the rockin' world go 'round.
tomorrow: old town trolley tour all around the city and if we have time, a museum. still trying to decide where we want to go for dinner and will probably choose based on whatever neighborhood we're in when we get tired of sightseeing.
sunday: brunch at bar pilar (or at home depending if we're lazy or not) then our friends head out. DH will have some quality time with the xbox and i'm going to go have a very, very long overdue spa mani/pedi. will definitely need to hit the grocery store and fit some laundry in too.
stargirl, hope you have a great time in the city this weekend!
Tonight- grocery shopping, Chipotle and catching up on the DVR.
Tomorrow- Friend from CA is in and at a conference in National Harbor, so I'll be spending the day up there with her (her presentations are at 7am and 10pm- wtf) and watching the baseball game.
Sunday- Cleaning up the house then hosting a pumpkin carving party! Pulled pork, spiced spiked cider and making pumpkin related food.
Stand up for something you believe in.
Today - leaving work at 2:30 to head to Union Station to catch a 3:30 train to NYC. After we check in to the hotel, we're going to do dinner and drinks.
Saturday - seeing "The Book of Mormon" at 2 pm; then heading downtown for a bit since DH has never been done there (he wants to see Ground Zero and Occupy Wall Street protests); dinner and drinks on LES
Sunday - going to the Chargers/Jets game in Jersey and then catching an 8 pm train home
Tonight- attempting to unpack the rest of our boxes, though I don't know if it'll happen. Ideally, I should clean too, but I know I won't feel like it. I just want to crash on Friday nights!
Tomorrow- I think we'll be home all day, but I'm still debating on going to Mt. Vernon. We've never been there, and I see there's a fall festival this weekend. Plus Potomac river sightseeing cruises are half off... not sure if it's the ticket that includes admission to Mt. Vernon, or just the cruise. I'm thinking the latter... anyone know?
Sunday- Church, grocery shopping, maybe cleaning, Steeler game.
Planning Bio
Tonight - Friend is having a fall dessert party/girl's night
Saturday - Up at crack of dawn for 1/2 marathon practice followed by HOA meeting (last one till I step down as HOA President at the next meeting
). Then quality time watching VT game on TV with DH since we decided not to drive down for the game. Maybe meet up with friends to go out at night.
Sunday - Friend from school's wedding. Another friend from school is doing the flowers for the wedding so I am going to be helping her set up all morning at National Harbor then wedding in the afternoon followed by all sorts of fun!
DH has a conference on Sat.
I have a three day weekend with no plans.
I hope to get cooking later so we have stuff to eat through next week
Oooh I'm jealous of your Babbo plans, stargirl!
Tonight, no big plans.
Tomorrow: haircut in the morning (I'm ashamed to say it's been 6 months). In the afternoon, a friend is coming over and we're making meatballs and tiramisu. YUM.
Sunday: brunch at Mrs. K's in Silver Spring--they were having a deal on Facebook. In the afternoon, I'm hoping we can spend some time outside enjoying the fall weather.
It should be a nice, low-key weekend after a few weekends of lots of activity.

A friend that DH was in the military with is in town for two weeks so we are hanging out with him this weekend. He has only been to DC once to we are going downtown tomorrow, he is coming over for dinner tomorrow night, and then not sure about Sunday.
Tonight: Homemade pizza and playing with the kiddos. DH has been sick all week, so if he can stay awake past 8, we'll probably watch a movie and eat Morenko's ice cream. If he can't, I'll make cookies for DD to decorate the following day.
Tomorrow: Some shopping in the morning and a trip to the pumpkin patch. In the afternoon we are going to a pumpkin carving party (or for DD, a pumpkin painting party, knives and toddlers don't mix)
Sunday: The kids and I are going to early church and the farm in the morning. In the afternoon, DH is taking over parenting and I am going to book club with all of my girlfriends. I haven't read the book, but I am in desperate need of some adult time, gossip and laughs.
Tonight: bday dinner for my niece, she's turning 18 today!
Tomorrow: errands, tae kwon do with DS, DS's BFF's birthday party, BBQ with friends for dinner
Sunday: working in the morning, hopefully taking a nap while DD naps.
Yay! Weekend!
Tonight: I've got a cut and hilight at 515 and hopefully by the time I get home, DH will be home from Hong Kong... yay!
Tomorrow: I have a feeling that DH is going to be a little jet lag grumpy, so I will probably head down to Fenton St Market around lunchtime and check out the Eat Drink Go Local (or whatever it is - I hear there is wine) thingy downtown... then I'm at a tossup for Saturday night b/c I though I'd like to do a haunted thing, but the SS Zombie Walk is also taking place at 845pm, and that might be fun to watch and try to take some fun photos, so maybe just cocktails down there or something if I can get grumpy jet lagger out of bed.
Sunday: No plans, though we'll probably be somewhere drinking beer and watching football if the Patriots are playing, that is if DH is not working. I have no clue what his schedule is.
Today: It's my birthday, so we're going out to dinner.
Rest of Weekend: No plans yet. Hopefully something outside. Maybe hiking
Happy Birthday!
Stand up for something you believe in.
Happy birthday! Hope your day and dinner are fun!
Today: Driving with Otto to Charlottesville today to stay with my best friend and her family. Just pizza and hanging out tonight.
Saturday: Running a 10K with Otto, then probably some outdoor pumpkin patchy thing to entertain their sons, then double date out to dinner.
Sunday: Lounge around, meander back to DC.
