Sometimes I am so completely clueless when it comes to fashion.
We have a wedding tomorrow night; it's going to be chilly. I am wearing this dress:

1) My legs. What do I wear on my legs? I haven't worn pantyhose in like 10 years. Do people even wear pantyhose anymore? I don't usually wear skirts/dresses unless it's spring/summertime, which is so much easier. Ugh.
2) Shoes. Any suggestions there? I usually try to stay away from heels since I'm self-conscious about towering over my husband, but I'm not sure flats are going to cut it in this scenario.
3) Accessories. It's an evening wedding, so I'd like to dress it up a bit. Thoughts?
Re: Fashion Clueless
Cute dress! I'd do fun stockings/tights. Like classier fishnets
I'd just wear black heels. I'd do that b/c I think nude hose are the devil.
Something like these but you can get even more fun ones (fun maybe more dressy with dressy shoes and something like this might look better with more 'corporate' black heels?)
Some people wear panty hose still - if the occasion is appropriate (raises hand). Some people hate them.
I would suggest some tights though. Is the dress brown? Or maroon? You could get colored tights to go with it...or patterned tights.
I, also, think you could get away with some flats. You probably have some ballet type flats in your wardrobe, no?
I tend to default to pearls as my accessory for things like weddings, big meetings, etc. I'm told it's the "southern belle" in me - but I think I just like pearls.
I'd wear a bracelet since the sleeves look 3/4 length on the arm with the hair tie and a necklace OR dangly/long earrings...but not both.
Super cute dress...and nice bod! You're lookin' good!
Since it's colder, and officially fall I would wear a pair of black tights and dressy black knee high boots. I'd keep accessories simple - gold or silver necklace, bracelet and earrings.

Oh, and I'd wear your hair up.
PIP when you're all dolled up.
Then again, I'm mostly likely to just go bare-legged and cold ;P

Our crazy, wonderful life
Thanks, girls. I will hit up Kohl's on my lunch break today for shoes and tights, and if I come up empty on the tights, I'll check out Target.
I have a nice "floating pearl" necklace and earrings set that my sister-in-law gave me to wear in her wedding. I can maybe where those?
Hair is a whole 'nother challenge. First of all, my hair already looks like crap because it has been MONTHS AND MONTHS since I've had highlights and a cut (and can't get in with my stylist until 11/26), and secondly, I *suck* at putting my hair up in anything other than a ponytail. Blah.

I
Go into your local beauty supply store and pick up this brush:
It's like $4 and it is amazing.
Kohl's Vera Wang tights are some of my favorite. They fit great and last.
If you end up at target I think these shoes are ADORABLE and are just high enough where it gives you length but not towering above your DH. They are super comfy and also come in gray.
Trickey, I love up-dos. I just wish I could do them. Haha. I'll have to peruse my pins on Pinterest to see if I have any hair tutorials in there that I could actually DO. And sure, I can swing $4 for a brush, but what am I supposed to do with that thing? LOL
Razzle, I like those shoes. Hmmm, I might have to check 'em out.

For the hair... lemme try and explain an easy tutorial that has totally worked for me...
Pull your hair into a ponytail.
Imagine splitting your hair into 8-10 sections.
So grab the first section (presumably the one at the top of the ponytail) and create a loop by pulling the hair away from your head and looping inward.
You can double up the loop if you want a smaller "curl."
Then secure with 2-3 bobby pins at the bottom of the loop, close to your head and the ponytail, crisscrossing the pins on the loop to hold everything in place.
Repeat all the way around the circle/ponytail. Be sure to leave 1-2 sections of hair in the very center of the ponytail.
When you get done with the outer curls, repeat the same process with the 1-2 middle sections of hair, securing them to your head right in the middle of the ponytail with bobby pins just like you did the others.
You should end up with a bun of 'curls'. Mine tend to be messy buns, but I'm OK with that. Or if I want a neater look, I just secure the shiz out of it with bobby pins.
The nice thing about this is that it only takes 10-20 minutes to do, so you can practice before the wedding and figure out something else if this doesn't work for you. (I hate spending hours trying out a new style only to have it turn out looking like crap).
It's a great teaser comb, for lots of volume at the crown of your head so you don't look so slicked back. Great for the snooki, which I try to rock at least once a week. Of course, you don't have to be that extreme. It's the best back combing tool ever.
Just wanted to tell you that you look great! WOW, mama!
I LOVE the wedge heels that Razzle posted. Those would look great with patterned tights and a fun accesories. I'm an accesories girl, so I'm going to suggest getting something fun and bold.
