house news (an AW for once)
I know I've done my fair share of complaining about my house situation, so today I'd like to share some good news. Today I'm paying off the second mortgage on my rental house! We've been paying ahead for a while now and this will be the last payment! I've got the check in my purse and will be going by the bank after work.
Things I'm excited about:
1. getting rid of a loan that had a rate over 8%.
2. We'll now have a lower monthly payment - we still don't get enough in rent to cover it all, but at least the amount we're short every month will be smaller.
3. We can now use the money we were paying ahead on this loan to tackle our next goal.
4. For once, I feel like we're making some progress.

Yay!! Wonderful news!! I can't wait until we are out from under the 2nd mortgage on the townhouse (our rental property) that DH took out before he met me.
That is awesome! Good for you guys. I was staring at my student loans last night, dreaming of how nice it would be to just to pay one off and be done with it. It must feel great for you!
