We are considering getting a video monitor for the nursery. Any recommendations? Is the video worth it or should we just stick with the audio? Eh... too many decisions.

Re: Baby Monitors
Definitely get a video monitor. I dont know of a particular brand as the one I use is a hand me down made by the obscure Cam4U, but Id say you should get one of some type!
I third the video monitor, we got this one:

I swear I don't know what I'd do without my video monitor.
It's fantastic - if I hear her fussing at night I can roll over and look to see if it's something that will require my attention. It's also very sensitive so I can hear her breathing as well.
We have the Summer Infant Slim and Secure video monitor. It can be a little glitchy - we had to reset our router channel b/c the monitor was interfering with the internet connection in the house.
It's pricey but I was able to get it on a good deal - I waited until there was a sale then I used a 20% coupon off PLUS my 10% registry completion coupon to make it very affordable. I also bought the buyer protection plan as these things have a way of crapping out.
I'm going to add confusion to the mix since I'm suffering from it myself.
We registered for (and received) the Summer Infant one reference above. However, DH would prefer we get a webcam like the foscam (sorry, Safari won't let me link to a description). It's not a baby monitor but links into your wireless so you can view baby via your PC or android phone, from anywhere.
Sounds great, right? Except we tried a similar one from Costco and there was no sound and it wasn't compatible with Mac or iphone AND there was no sound.
So I think we're using the Summer one until the technology on the wireless ones improves.
