How often do you talk to DH/SO?[Poll]

We do not normally talk on the phone at work. Sometimes we'll IM on gchat if he has a slow day (kids taking a test or just doing review work). If I know he's getting home from work before me, I'll call him on my way home to let him know when I'll be there. He does not call on his way home usually.

We rarely talk or text when he's at work because he's often in meetings or in the lab and I can never reach him anyway. Every once in a while we'll text if we have something funny to share, but it's not unusual to get no reply from him and for him to not even see it until the end of the day when he's getting ready to leave. He always calls to let me know when he's leaving to come home, but that's about it.

usually at least 1 time a day while he's at work he'll call and we text/e-mail a lot which I prefer then he'll call me on his way home. Sometimes more sometimes less depending on what's going on.

Since I work in the Bat Cave I get no cell service, so we either Gchat or Email, occasionally we will call each other.

i voted special snowflake.

He calls me at work when he is on his way into work around noon. Normally this is it for the day. He can text alittle easier at work than calling. Where he is in NYC, there are cameras all around so the last thing he wants is NYPD seeing him on the phone all the time. If its really important, i text him so and ask him to call. But normally i wont hear from him until he is home and i'm asleep at that point.

I voted SS... He calls me in the morning when he gets in to wake me up/say good morning/ say have a good day and that is all the communication we have until I get out of work.

I votes SS too, cause DH works midnight to 8am. So, we basically don't talk at all while he's working unless I need to call him in the morning when I wake up and have him pick me up something on his way home from work.

However, when he was on day tours we really didn't talk at all unless there was something important that couldn't wait until we got home. And it was usually a convo via text too.

I voted SS.

He works 10pm-6am so I speak to him before I go to bed but that is it. I usually call once in the morning from work to see how DD is but not always. He doesn't text or email.

I wont call him while he is working because with my luck he will be chasing someone!!!!

SS: when DH worked, he had 3 days on the street and 2 paperwork days. We'd talk a couple of times a day- he'd always let me know he got to/from work safely. We would talk whenever we wanted/needed to on paperwork days, less often on street days.

Now that he's home, he blows up my phone when I'm at work. He needs to learn some boundaries, but it's cute (almost). I think it's going to get worse once my maternity leave is over and he officially becomes a SAHD

DH calls me a million times a day while we are working.I love it most of the time esp the few second calls when he just calls to say "i cant really talk but i wanted to say i love you" and sometimes it can get to be a little annoying b/c he wants to chat forever and i'm busy.

I voted talk a few times a day but we text often as well. If he leaves for work before me especially for search warrants I call him to make sure he's alive when I wake up- I also watch the news in the am when I get ready. If I leave first hd calls when he wakes up. When I was on the street/ patrol we talked before my shift started and throughout the night. We each understand "gtg" and hangup and when the dust settles we call each other back

We usually talk once before he starts rope climbing whatever bridge he is on and then text when he can, if needed. It's not really practical to have his phone out when he is belaying up and down a bridge hundreds of feet in the air...lol! He always calls me when he gets in the car and is headed home.
