Has anyone else seen 50/50?
I saw this last weekend and LOVED it....hilarious and heartfelt. Joseph Gordon-Levitt was amazing --- and does anyone else think he looks a lot like the late Heath Ledger?
Re: Has anyone else seen 50/50?
I saw it last weekend with my H and we both loved it!! It was the perfect mix of touching and funny.
Every movie I see with Joseph Gordon-Levitt just makes me love him more!
Here are some side by side pics of the two.

No. I wanted too until I found out that, in the movie, JGL has the exact same cancer as my aunt. I know he survives but I'm not ready to see it yet. My cousin (her mom was just diagnosed with cancer in her spine and liver after being in remission from breast cancer) watched it and she said, while it was really good, she wished she didn't see it.
But, anyways, yes they're eerily similar.

I'm so sorry. I saw it with DH 3 days before they diagnosed my Aunt with a form of spinal cancer. She had been cleared from the breast cancer about 6 months ago after being cancer free for 5 years and now this. It was hard enough for me then, but finding out her diagnosis 3 days after seeing it was a lot for me to handle. I liked it, but there is no way I could watch it now. She's a widow and my parent's have been taking her to radiation. We warned the rest of the family not to watch it with everything that's happening. Wait to see it if you ever do. It was good, but hit so close to home for us that we aren't sure how to feel about it now.
They are eerily similar side by side. I never thought of it though since I still think of him as the kid from "Third Rock From the Sun,"
i saw it this weekend and also loved it. I was thinking the same thing about Heath Ledger! It was creeping me out.
not really. The guy that has cancer in the movie is a real person and cowrote the movie. He was doing the talk show circuit so he obviously survives.
This. It is a true story so WC?
