Weekend Plans

It's finally supposed to be sunny and warmer for the first time all week! We've got a busy weekend this week-

Tonight: I have to crank out a paper for my library/childrens lit class. My topic is a comparison/analysis of 3 different Cinderella versions.

Saturday: Going to a football game at the University we both graduated from to tailgate with the in-laws. BIL and his gf are still students there. It'll take 2 hrs there and back, and we'll probably get dinner with them before driving home.

Sunday: My grad class has its only in person meeting from 9-4:30. The university is 2.5 hours away from my house.

Sometime in there I have to fit in required reading for my class, lesson planning and grading for work.  I doubt I'll have any time to zone out in front of the tv or read for pleasure. Luckily next month I'll have some free time with 3 long weekends!

What are all of you up to this weekend?

Re: Weekend Plans

  • DH is up on his mountain doing man things.

Tomorrow, I'm going to watch my 5 year old nephew's soccer game and then give him his birthday presents.

Sunday, DH will be home and we'll drive to Skyline Drive (mountains in VA) and look at the fall foliage and do some EASY hiking.

Sometime in there, I have to plan my lessons for this week and do some light house work.

  • Today: DH left to head back to work, skids came over... The 2 boys are having a sleepover at Mema & Papa's so Mia and I got a girls night and she loved it.

Tomorrow: I have to go to a mandatory Student Teaching Orientation, and it's the last thing I want to do. Then I'll be going to my parents house, we're making apple pies with the kids and doing dinner.

Sunday- Not sure if I'm gonna make it to church, but probably going to my In-Laws for dinner then the kids are going home.

  • Last night - Brought dinner to DH's office, then spent the night at home alone.  I hate his job.

Today - chores, a hair appointment, and more housework.  I'd like to do something with DH tonight - I miss him!

Tomorrow - should probably get cracking on work for the online class I'm taking,

  • Last night: dinner out with DH courtesy of a friend who had an expiring groupon that she couldn't use followed by a movie courtesy of AT&T UVerse.   A fantastic low-key night :)

Today: Slept in for the first time in who knows how long, woke up and had a lazy morning, followed by a nice long walk (we saw ducks!) & I am about to drop off some moving boxes for a friend from grad school who is moving a few miles from us next week! Tonight we are going to a birthday party, too.

Tomorrow: Church then brunch with DH's friends & then some cleaning & organizing & dinner before he leaves for work for a few days.

  • Last night I worked way too late. I stayed until 7:30 which is four hours after the time I can leave.  Came home and watched TV and fell asleep.  Then, talked to my mom and a friend on the phone.

Today:  Sleeping in, relaxing, and a bonfire party at a friend's/watching the Cardinal's World Series game of course.  This is DH's friend from work and I haven't met him yet since DH just started this teaching job in August.  (The one you guys sent all the vibes for. :-))

Tomorrow: Cleaning, laundry, store, and hopefully some veg out time.

  • Yesterday: worked late, hung out with DH

Today: went up to the wedding reception site to set up.  I made about 60 small vase centerpieces.  Ran some errands.  Manicure.  Dinner tonight at the in-laws with everyone who is in town.

Tomorrow: BIL and FSIL's wedding.  I need to be at the salon which is about 45 minutes away by 7:15, uggh!

Monday: bonus personal day to relax after the crazy weekend!
