What's the best way...
to go from Eastside to Friday Harbor? I'm thinking of going to Anacortes Ferry to Friday Harbor, but we'd be looking at over $50 each way (with the car). Do you have any other ideas?

Do you know where you are staying? We were able to walk to our hotel but cabs are available as well.
San Juan Vineyards was actually pretty good - we only went to the tasting room but they have a nice vineyard.
The Lavender farm was pretty and smelled awesome!
We spent almost a whole day at Limekiln park just relaxing and trying to see whales.
There is also a bus line that goes around the island.
Agreed -- just walk on! The ferry terminal is right in FH. I think the shuttle only runs in the summer months, though, so check on that before finalizing your plans.
Also, you only pay leaving anacortes; return trip is included.
