Basic Photography Classes
We recently acquired a used Canon Rebel T1i from my brother. He gave it to us for free because he truly never uses it. It's way more camera than I've ever had so I'm interested in taking a basic class or maybe even something online to learn more about what the camera can do. Any suggestions? I know Leisure Learning does some classes but I don't know if the classes or the instructors are good. I live in Spring Branch and also heard that the Community Center for the school might offer classes occassionally.
Thanks!

Re: Basic Photography Classes
I found Kathy Adams Clark's one-day photography workshop through Leisure Learning to be extremely helpful when I first got my camera.
I learned more from that than an eight-week continuing education course through Rice.
The book "Understanding Exposure" is also a good resource.
I took this class and found it very helpful also. I plan on taking another class with her soon. I still need to pick up a copy of "Understanding Exposure."
