Another haircut clicky

Since so many seem to comment on how expensive a haircut is, I'm curious what everyone's limit is.[Poll]

Re: Another haircut clicky

  • For some odd reason typing in $0-15 gives that Poll-15 value, so just keep in mind the first option is $0-15.

  • i've never paid more than 60. so put that as my max. i couldn't imagine paying more.. unless the haircut somehow made my hair style itself.. or if my hair appeared to have more volume.

  • I don't mind paying a little more for color but I hate paying that much for a cut! I might have found a new place that I like and she is about $60.... Jamie @ Source Salon. I went there to get "Pink Hair for Hope" last week and she gave me a free bang trim and I love them. I like her style too...

  • Holy Cow! Someone pays up to $90 for a cut?!?! Surprise ...I thought my cuts were expensive....but in comparison, they are in the very low range....need to tell my H this. Then he can have some perspective. haha Confused

  • I usually pay about $50, but even that seems expensive.  I once had my hair cut at a very fancy salon in DC where celebs go and it was very expensive, but it was the most amazing haircut (and color) I've ever had.  It might be worth it to get a nice cut once a year and then more affordable once for trims between.

I see Tia at Source for my cuts and color and Michelle for my waxing. The staff there is stellar.

  • Mine is $55 (+tip) at Gene Juarez and I've really l liked the guy I've been going to (found him through a friend and he did my wedding hair).  The last time it wasn't *amazing* though so I've though about going somewhere else.  My mom doesn't charge, but sometimes I bring her a latte :)
  • i used to cut my own hair (in mid school, highschool)..so it's really hard to pay someone to cut my hair now...esp since haircuts are so expensive! the most i've EVER paid was whatever supercuts or whatever one of the cheapo salons charge. not much.

  • I put $31-$45, but I honestly don't know what I pay right now.  Since switching to this salon (Split End in Mill Creek), I've only ever had my hair cut at the same time as color, so I don't really know what the price breakdown is.

It depends on which Gene Juarez you go to, IMX... The one in Alderwood kind of sucks; Northgate's "okay"; the ones in UVillage, Downtown, and Redmond are all amazing.

I go to GJ in UVillage and still go to the lady who did my wedding hair; she's crazy-expensive ($90+tip), but my hair looks AMAZING, and it practically does style itself. Seriously -- I get away with "shampoo, condition, blowdry bangs, ignore the rest and let it do its own thing" and it looks fantastic.

My hair is super-thick and always needs thinning, and she works some kind of black magic on the layers, and it just always looks wonderful. Except when I haven't gone back in six months. :X Oops.

  • SS- I've never paid for a haircut in my life. My mom's owned a salon since before I was born, so she's always cut my hair. I have no clue how much hair cuts or hair care products should cost.
