Distressed Furniture..How do you decorate with it?
So I am decorating my dining room and I have this huge bookcase I inherited that needs some major TLC. I was thinking about just distressing it. But I also wanted to do a distressed dining room table in a fun color (aqua or something like that)
My question is how much is too much? I like fun primitive look but I also like neat and modern. If you've done it, how did you do it? Also have you seen what kind of chairs people use with fun colored tables?

Re: Distressed Furniture..How do you decorate with it?
Personally, distressed is NMS. And I can't understand why somebody would spend time refinishing furniture and then go and ruin that brand new finish! But I know it's a big trend right now, so I'll end my rant......
I see a lot of distressed furniture on the blog Better After. The site also links back to the creator of the piece (usually author of a blog) with instructions and more pictures, some showing it in a fully staged room.
