So, there are a handful of women at my church that I reallllllllllllllly want to be friends with. We are sort of casual acquaintances now. They have invited me to hang out once or twice, and to a baby shower for one of the girls... but basically, I am really yearning for some really close local girlfriends and think this could be the right fit. With volleyball, however, I haven't had any time to get together and they get together every few weeks.
SO-I am going to host them here for a girls' night in two weeks. There will likely be 5-8 of us. Two are pregnant, so though I'd love to host it as a wine tasting event or something else fun, it wouldn't fit for everyone. So basically, I need ideas to make these women think I'm awesome and want to hang out with me again. ![]()
I was hoping to come up with some "activity" (like wine tasting) then I would do appetizers and drinks. I've been hunting on Pinterest and the "Favorite Things" parties keep coming up, but I don't want toask them to bring anything/spend money.
Ideas?
Re: Alright-need more advice! Girls' night!
I just saw on Pinterest an idea for a cake or cupcake decorating party. It looked so fun! Cupcakes would definitely be easier (and cheaper) to make ahead of time, unless you found a few smaller cake pans. Basically from what I saw on Pinterest, you make the cakes and plain white icing ahead of time, and then have a bunch of different options for decorating them with food coloring & piping bags, sprinkles/nuts/coconut options, and other decorative stuff. Might take a little time to plan out, but I think it sounds so fun!

The Minute To Win It thing sounds fun. What about something like a game night and fondue or an sundae bar or something? I don't like too many activities when I'm hanging around people for the first time b/c I like the chance of having good conversation.
Or maybe something like a make your own pizza party? My ideas all revolve around food obviously.
All of the PPs are great suggestions!
I'd add in something like a Cricut party if everyone is crafty like that. Some girls from my church and I are thinking of getting together to play with our Cricuts.
Or a crocheting get together?
