(Repost from March 2012)
Finally home from the hospital.
It started with the most intense, worst pain I've ever felt in my life from the right side of my belly button all the way to the middle of my back. All on the right side. My manager (I was at work) rushed me to the hospital, where they found out I was having contractions, at 20 weeks.
They monitored the baby and he is perfect and great. So, they sent me to the ER again, where they did ultrasounds of body parts, took blood, etc. My white blood cell count was pretty elevated, and that with the pain made the doctor think appendicitis. Turns out it wasn't, so glad he freaked me out! They even had a surgeon come talk to me about taking my appendix out immediately, and with the baby in there it would be higher risk.
Once the ultrasounds came back negative and he didn't think he could operate without more information (They didn't want to do a CT scan to protect the baby.) So, we decide that the pain is subdued and we want to go home for the night, and the doctor didn't want us to. So, we switched hospitals to one with a good neo-natal unit in case I did have to have the surgery.
We get to the second hospital, they get my records, and tell me that my WBC count isn't that high for a pregnant person. They monitor me for contractions again, and there were none. They took more blood, and my WBC count was down in perfectly normal range again.
So here I am, at home, not sure what's wrong with me, but my baby is perfect so I am very grateful. I have an appt with my OB Wednesday to let him know what happened and see if we do anything next.
And now after 15 hours of emergency rooms, L&D, and 2 hospitals, I need some sleep!

That sounds scary but glad to here you're feeling better.
Did they mention your gallbladder at all? That sounds a lot like gallbladder pain. I would stick with a bland, low fat diet for the next litlle bit. Hopefully the pains don't come back.
So glad everything is ok!
