Amazing Race (spoiler)
I was on the edge of my seat when it was down to the last two teams (they probably weren't even that close to each other, stupid post-production). I was so sad to see Liz & Marie go. They kept their spirit so well this leg and I really don't care for whoever it was that came in 7th. (see, can't even remember their names)
I did love that the teams got all turned around and that the first few teams thought they were behind and the next few thought they were ahead!
Re: Amazing Race (spoiler)
I really liked how upbeat and positive Liz and Marie were even though they knew they were behind. I can't say I would have walked to get to where I need to go if it were a 5 hour walk.
I like the grandparents the best and the snowboarders are growing on me.

I love how excited the twins were to shovel elephant poo....it was like Christmas for them!
The father/son team kind of drove me crazy last night. The dad was just being a jerk about them having not taken notes and then getting all cranky when his son had to go back to view the sample again.

the couple with the Asian girl and white guy annoyed me when they had to pay the cab driver. I looked up the conversion, and although the price seemed high - the correct conversion of 4500bahtis (I think that was the amount and the currency) was $150 US dollars. I wish the show would have typed that at the bottom of the screen to show that they were the ones taking advantage - not the cab driver. And they were so rude to the lady that was just trying to help.
I feel like the racers are often rude to the locals and expect free things - I really doubt I would give money on the street to people that obviously are not poor just so they can play a game.
Me too; they were sweet. I kind of hate a lot of the teams this season and they were one of the few I liked.
Quincy and Dexter, new BFFs

This season just seems hard to get into. The tasks seem too easy (feed the fish?) and no team really jumps out at me as one I want to win. Even the background stories aren't special.
For this episode, I was okay with twins getting eliminated but I really wanted the dating couple to go so that was a letdown. I don't understand the father/son team--what's their story? The dad talks highly of his son but then emphasizes he's not mature enough and some other minor insults. The son just seems kind of quiet to me.
I can't stand the twins, and I can't stand the dating couple. The first episode, when the guy said that this will make or break them and he'll decide whether he wants to marry her ... I wanted him to lose so badly after that. And for his girlfriend to grow a brain and dump him.
The father/son team - the son is the youngest person to circumnavigate the world. I want to say that his sister tried to out do him a few years ago and she got caught up in a storm and they thought she was lost at sea - but was found a few days later. It doesn't really surprise me that the son is so quiet because if you're sailing the globe by yourself, there's not too many to talk to (I don't think I could do it for the sheer fact that I don't think I could be without human contact for that long.)
Cindy and Eddie don't bother me too much, though now that the twins are gone they may grate on me more. I love the older couple to death.
Cindy and Ernie were so rude! I was so mad when she kept yelling "Why are you doing this to us?!!!" I can't figure out if they were trying to rip the guy off or didn't understand conversions, but they had no right to act the way they did. The man just wanted to be compensated and they kept yelling "But you were a terrible driver!" as if that was going to make the man accept less money than he was owed.
I loved that the twins then had a similar problem and handled in a polite and kind manner and were helped out. I hope Cindy feel ashamed of how rude she was to the locals.
I think it is because every season lately seems to be in the same general area. They haven't been to Europe in forever.
