non-clicky poll: ordered wedding photos?
So we got married over a year ago. I haven't even looked through all our pictures yet but I need to pick photos for an album and make one. It's kinda pathetic but I did just ordered a canvas from our photog this weekend.
SO, how many of you still have credit/albums to order with your photographer?
When are you going to do it?
How long has it been?
Do you have a cut off date or date when your credits need to be used?
I started to feel guilty about it. I think i'm going to get together a list of things to order asap!

my advice to you, give yourself a timeline.. say by Christmas or Feb at the latest and get your stuff ordered. Otherwise, it starts to be a daunting task! and you have time because you just got blogged.. do you have all your pics yet?
oh, also, for you, you could get it done by xmas so people can see, or make albums for family members for xmas!

I didn't have a credit, but I made my own albums pretty quick. I got married in Sept and wanted them as Christmas presents. Then I ordered prints and I still have some to hang or give out, but used those for mothers and father's day presents. I don't have much in our house or anything in my office though, and I want to get a canvas one for our bedroom.
I also have some video and slideshow I made, but can't figure out how to download it, so all our OOT peeps who couldn't come are still waiting for video. I suck.

maybe it'll motivate me to make albums. lol.

i haven't ordered my album yet. it's been over 2 years. i've gone through all the pics...i just feel like the album is a huge commitment and i want it to be perfect..and we've never sat down to do it. we always say we will, but something always comes up and we never actually do it.

jumped ship to the new and improved nest. back to TB for baby boards.
An album wasn't part of my package. My photographer gave me a copy of all my prints in a box that she had made with our photo on top. I also got a CD and the rights to all my photos so for Christmas that year I made my own albums for parents.
The only wedding "photo" I have hung in my house is a canvas I had made by an etsy seller with our wedding song and a black and white picture of us.
We were married in Dec '07, and we got our album from our photographer in September '08. I'll be honest, though...we were only motivated to pick the pics for the album that quickly because we were moving out of state, and I wanted to make sure we got our album before we moved. Having that solid deadline did wonders for making us just sit down and do it!
We've never ordered extra prints, though. Once our album was made, we got all our images on CD (along with the rights), so we can get them done anywhere. I've just never done it (though we've printed a few on our own printer).

I only just had some of my photos printed earlier this year. STILL haven't made an album yet. I keep meaning to though!
I hope to at least start it before the end of the year. But I want to make it really nice.
First step, get the rest of the photos printed.

well i'm hoping this gives you motivation to do it. seriously! get it done before baby comes because you won't afterwards! plus, it is huge but you have a big enough book to put almost all your pics in it! lol!

We got married 20th June 2009, had our photos back by the end of July 2009 (we ordered the full digital rights, plus a 16x20 and an album), had the album design figured out and ordered by... I have no idea, probably August or September or so... I know we had it in hand early enough for me to make up some cheap Blurb.com versions of the album for the respective parental units for Christmas 2009, though I don't think I started putting together the 'cheap' versions until October or November.
I don't order prints from photographers; the 16x20 print was a freebie thrown in on the package we got. I get the digital rights and order off of Mpix.com if I want physical copies of individual prints.
