Good Morning IN's!

Hey everyone, how was your weekend?  Is this week looking busy?

QOTD:  What is your most "inappropriate" quirk?

***********

I had a relaxing weekend.  We just went to the market and bought lots of fruit and veggies (and found spinach for the first time since I got here in May!) and then I tried out some new recipes.  Oh, and went on a bike ride with our dog.  She is still suffering from PTSD from us leaving her so we're trying to exercise her more and occupy her mind more with training her on new things and stuff.

QOTD:  I talk about bowel movements way more than is normal for anyone.  Even before I had my colon issues, which at least gave me an excuse.  My brother does it, too, so I think it's just because we grew up that way.  DH doesn't mind since he grew up with a doctor and nurse and they talked about all kinds of nasty things in his house growing up.

Re: Good Morning IN's!

  • Good morning!

I had a really fun weekend. Friday morning we decided to buy plane tickets to Oman for the weekend. We ended up renting a 4WD and visiting some really awesome places! It was a really nice change of pace.

This week should be pretty crazy for me. We are heading to Nepal early Wednesday morning, so today I'm trying get through our laundry from the weekend so we can pack it all back up again tomorrow. Horrible problem to have, I know. Wink I still have to work while I'm in Nepal, which might prove to be interesting, but I think my work schedule will jive well with a sightseeing schedule - we'll see. If I can get in four hours of work early morning and four hours around dinner time I should be good to go.

QOTD: My most inappropriate habit... Not sure. Last night H commented that I almost never order something off of a menu without asking for it to be modified in one way or another. Not exactly inappropriate, but annoying to some waiters.

Jetur: H and I definitely discuss them openly as well. It didn't occur to me that it was weird. I think it started when we started training for our first marathon together (wow, when we had been dating for like two months) because having "the magic" happen before embarking on a long run is oh so important.

  • The weekend was great. Mom and Dad went home very early this morning, so we spent the weekend doing local tourism and enjoying their company. I must say I'm pretty sad they went - who knows when they'll be back!?

The week is looking much calmer than the last two. Although I'll be starting driving school classes, I'll no longer have to make dinner for 5 or do after-work tourism. The only crazy afternoon will be Wednesday when I need to make an apple pie for DH's coworkers.

QOTD: I talk about my personal life to a point that make my Spanish coworkers uncomfortable. I've heard little to nothing about their personal lives, but have no problem talking about mine. Guess I'm just too American sometimes! :)

  • Morning!  Today I'm getting TIVO!  OMG, I'm so excited.  A dorky thing to be excited about I'm sure, but I really, really am.  Just in time for babyMadrid to arrive!

    GL with driving classes elentetxu!

QOTD: Ever since a guy friend of mine in high school taught me how to belch I have been a burper.  I generally don't do it in public (DH is used to it by now..poor guy) but sometimes I slip up and let a big one out.  It's  definitely not a .ladylike thing to do.

  • Morning. I should have left for work 30 minutes ago and haven't. Sigh. I swear I've mentally checked out. I've already started my maternity leave countdown, which is not great considering I still have two more months and a lot to do! This week will be busy today and tomorrow, and then it'll slow down, thank goodness.

QOTD: Hm, I can't think of one. Sticking to the poop topic, I used to only be able to go in one stall at work and only if no one else is in the bathroom. I still won't if others are in there, but I can now use any stall. I think that's progress, personally.

  • Good morning everyone. Had a really great weekend and am hoping for a good week, it's been a while since I've had a normal week. Am out for dinner tonight and stopping at a friend's tomorrow to play with her (insanely adorable) baby but that's as far as I've planned this week so far. I am really, really hoping to stick to some sort of diet plan, I can't believe how much weight I gained in India, it's just ridiculous!

QODT: Hm... I hate to steal one but I really do talk too much in general, and definitely too much about my person life for most people in the UK. I really can't shut up sometimes. And if wine is involved... well, any conversation becomes possible!

  • Hi there.  Our weekend was great.  The weather was great for sightseeing with my mom.

Elenetxu, I hate that "too American" stuff.  Being an American does not equal being an over sharer.  Sorry, but that bugs me.

QOTD: Sometimes I burp really loud at home.

  • Hello!

I had class this morning but I really just wanted to stay in bed. I have some more later today and then I have German class.

LadyMadrid: They have Tivo here? What Tv company do you have?

QOTD: I bite my lower lip a lot. I also drag my feet when I walk.

  • Good morning, had a great weekend with the DILF :)

QOTD: I also get way too personal with information that I give to people. Everyone in my town knows about my divorce, the reason for it, that he was friends with a stripper and got happy ending massages...

It's brand new and only with ONO.  First 6 months free then it's only 10 euros a month more than what we were paying.

  • Morning! I'm getting ready for an interview this morning -- really making progress on finding a new career path.  My goal is to be in a 'normal' (Monday thru Friday) job before Thanksgiving.  The interview today is for an account manager at a marketing firm, should be interesting!

QOTD: I swear entirely too much.  Like a sailor.  Being in the military, I was just surrounded by it.  I try to cut back, but sometimes it's just too much fun.
