May I join? I've been reading the bump/the nest since I first found out I was pg. I've been posting more since my NT and now that I'm in my 2nd tri and feeling more confident I should be around more.
My due date is 4/21.
Melissa
PS - I will post this on the check-in thread. No new news.. except I've been super nausious (sp) every day on and off. No puking but man, I almost feel like if I did puke I would feel better.
So anyway, that's been fun. I don't have another appt until Nov 21st which seems like ages away.
This is exactly how I felt all through 1st tri - sort if in that nauseous, hungover "if I could just puke I'd feel so much better" kind of state. Nothing like feeling hungover without even having had the fun of a party the night before, eh?

Hello ladies!
Nausea has subsided (knock on wood) however, heartburn and indigestion had worked its way in and its not fun at all. My taste buds are still not acting up and won't agree with any sweets (so much for the free candies I got from the Candy convention at work) it leaves a really weird after taste which makes me want to spit, i feel like a tobacco chewer lmao. Belly is getting pretty defined and people are actually noticing it. I bought 4 pairs of bras, I'm a C+ to D cup now which DH is loving lmao. Went to ross to check out some maternity pants and got some pretty good deals. I visited the Destination maternity store at Int'l mall, cute place but its quite expensive. I can't get myself to buy a pair of maternity pants for over $100 each so I settled for Ross.
I will be starting a Blog starting at 16 weeks which is tomorrow, so stay tuned : )
Nov 15, we have an appt for the Anatomy Scan and hopefully find out the gender of the baby. We're thinking of doing a Gender Reveal Get Together with our close friends and family. Debating if we want to be included in the surprise or we'll surprise them, which Im leaning towards just surprising them, I dont know if I can wait 4 days after the appointment and just have a sealed envelope in our possession but can't open it lol.
This was me too! Good news is that about a week or two into the second trimester it stopped!
I haven't made it to any maternity stores yet, so my clothes have came from Ross, Penny's, and Kohl's. Also I was very lucky and 2 friends loaned me all of their maternity clothes. One has a pair of those expensive jeans from Destination Maternity and OMG are they nice. They fit like regular jeans would, I don't feel a tad frumpy in them, as I do in many others I've tried on. My biggest problem is finding pants. I'll need pants for work.
LoL I love the gender reveal party idea, but I could never wait! We invited our close friends to dinner the evening that we found out. I got cupcakes from a yummy cupcake store in my town and had them boxed in twos (one box per couple). As each couple arrived at dinner they opened their box to find pretty pink cupcakes
This was me also...I only threw up once, but i wish I could have thrown up more often.
You sure did! Amazing, isn't it?!
Well I feel like an arse! How did I miss that? Well congrats and sorry to hear your not feeling well! I had the same issues. I did throw up a few times but it was only a handful of times. I was a BIG fan of Zofran especially since I was working so much. Hang in there!!
my computer wont let me update! lol ive written a paragraph like 6 times and it never sends it through...
but im good, still pregnant and feeling fabulous!
I don't get on here much with my new job. By the time I get home the only thing I want to do is shower and go to bed. Things are going well, though. We found out a few weeks ago that we are having a boy and everyone is super excited. My next appt is Wednesday and then H and I will be heading out of town for a long weekend in NC. I feel Junior kicking, bouncing, and flipping a lot now. H has felt him a couple of times too which made me happy since I know he was feeling left out. Especially at 4 am (UGH!). My shower is on 11/19 and I can't wait to see everyone. Mom and step-dad already surprised us with a crib and changing table for the nursery which was awesom. Mom and MIL were there for the anatomy scan and while I was apprehensive at first I was so glad they were both there along with H. Finally feeling good about the whole pregnancy.
Aww, that's a lot of exciting news! What does your crib and table look like? Have you picked out a bedding set?
We have the Carter's Manchester convertible crib and changer in Auburn. It matches well with the vintage dresser and rocker we have that was passed down from my grandparents. http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=4466045&searchURL=false
We wanted to keep everything pretty neutral so we are doing a safari theme but it works even better now that we know we are having a boy! http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2659928&searchURL=true
A friend of ours is going to paint a mural so once that is done I will post pics.
That crib sets is nice! And it is so sweet that you have furniture from your grandparents!
The safari theme is cute!
