I seen in your freak out post that you won't have a doctor's appointment until mid November.  Are they at least getting you in for blood tests to confirm the pregnancy?

Re: *Danie*

  • Hey, no, she said if I got a positive at that time and no period that is all they need until 8 weeks (I thought it was kind of weird...but I have heard that is quite common). I think having some blood tests would help with my anxiety over this being for real and sticking...but, I guess I just have to wait until 8 weeks. I know that I am...it is just if it stays that way...

  • Also, my cycle is usually like 23-25 days, so I am later for my period than the normal person. I should have gotten it on the 18th, so fingers crossed that nothing comes my way!

  • That is so bizarre!  I'm saying prayers and in a pretzel stance that the "poppyseed" sticks!

  • I didn't have a blood test either. My doc says those at home tests are pretty reliable these days, so they don't feel a need to confirm. My first appointment was my early ultrasound at 8 weeks.
