Happy Monday!

How was everyone's weekend?

I had a very productive day yesterday.   I hit up Costco for some shopping and price comparing, raked and mowed the yard and cooked up a huge pot of chilli for dinner last night and my lunches for the week.

We finally broke down and got Netflix yesterday.  It's still kinda crappy here in Canada, but it's nice to just be able to watch anything.  Now I just have to look into our internet limits.

How is everyone today?

Re: Happy Monday!

  • Good morning ladies!

I was pretty much MIA all weekend.  Saturday we brought the boys out to eat as DH and I Just needed to get out of the house.  I will admit it was the first time they have come out to eat with us since they were infants.  They did great, and I can now see it happening more.

We then had friends over Saturday nigh to watch a move.

Sunday, brought the boys to Pumpkin Valley. Christian HATED the cows, he screamed bloody murder when it mooed.  I couldn't help but kind of laugh, of course he did get lots of snuggles to calm him down.  They each went down the big slide (with an adult of course), and saw the pigs and goats.  It was great, but will be even better next year.

Busy day ahead, have a great one ladies.

  • Hello Monday.  We had a nice weekend, although I ended up with a headache all day yesterday which ruined any hope of going to the gym.  But I did manage to get some stuff done around the flat.  We went out for a yummy sushi dinner on Saturday at a new restaurant, and we'll definitely be going back despite the price tag.

Tonight I really should call my mom.  I've not been in the mood to talk to anybody recently, so I haven't been logging into Skype.  Now I'm starting to feel guilty so will try to catch up with her.

  • Kat - OMG, Christian's reaction to the cows is just too funny!

Our weekend was full and fun.  I don't have much time so I'll post about our reveals later.

Saturday I had to work all day.  After that I went for a quick 4 mile run before my family came over for pizza and the reveal.

Yesterday day I had to work all day again and then I headed to the gym to elliptical and bike before we went to ILs house for turkey and reveal.  I was on call last night and thankfully didn't get any calls at all.

Today I'm off work.  I've already been out for a quick 5km run - 29:40 - not a bad time for early second trimester.  Now I have a massage appointment which hopefully will help relieve my neck pain for a little while at least.  Hoping to get to the gym to for a little bit later to maybe elliptical and then I have lots of shopping to do.

    Have a great day!

  • Hey Everyone,

As much as I love being gone from the office for three days, I really hate coming back to all the mail and email (I'm afraid to even look).  It should be a crazy week, but hopefully that means it will go by quickly.

Other than playing catch-up, and a massage on Wednesday, I don't have anything planned until the weekend.

  • Good morning! Very fun weekend here--my sister was in town and we went shopping, ate way too much and got to see the Wings play the Caps on Saturday. The Wings lost miserably, but it was still fun. It had been almost a year since I'd seen my sister, so I was very happy to catch up with her!

Today will be a busy day at work, catching up on everything I missed on Friday, continuing training and just making sure I'm up to speed on everything. Tonight is laundry night--fun.

    Have a great one, all!

  • Good morning!

We had a pretty good weekend. Saturday, we went to a wedding of V's high school friend. I love weddings in this group of friends because the high school guys always get together to sing for each other's weddings (since V went to a choir school).

Today I was planning to hit up the second hand baby store nearby to see if we can get Darian an Exersaucer or Jumperoo. But it's looking kinda blah outside so we'll see if I feel like getting out.

  • I had a good weekend. We watched my mom's dog for the weekend while she was out of town. That was fun, but the cats didn't enjoy his company much. Saturday we had the farmer's market in the morning. It started off cold but turned into a gorgeous day. After the market I went home and cleaned bathrooms and did some laundry.

Yesterday I did more housework and laundry and then my mom stopped by to pick up her dog. She stayed through dinner and then went home. It was nice to have a short visit with her. We ended up going to bed early last night as we were both completely exhausted after the weekend.

Also, I would like to thank you all for the job vibes that you sent for Kyle last week. He got an offer yesterday (yes, on a Sunday, strange I know). It was a little bit lower than we were hoping for but we're going to figure out a way to make it work. He meets with them tomorrow to finalize everything so I'm hoping that he can negotiate up a little bit.

  • Good morning!

It feels good to be back on East coast time. I've been gone and had tons of stuff happen. I ran my first 5k, which went awesome. Then I spent a week out in Scottsdale Arizona for training. OMG I got an upgraded room at this swanky hotel. I had my own lake front house and my own hot tub. It was amazing. I felt very famous. Saturday I went to a wedding of some friends. It was really fun. BIL's girlfriend and I tore up the dance floor. It was great.

I hope everyone had a great weekend and week previous. Did I miss anything?

  • Congrats to Kyle!

Good morning ladies! I had a great weekend, we met my parents for dinner on Saturday night and went to a haunted house with them. We had to wait in line for over two hours to get into the haunted house but it was well worth it and really scary!

Sunday we went to a  BBQ for Jason's grandparents, they are snowbirds and are leaving for Arizona this week. It was great to catch up with a lot of his family.

I'm feeling (and looking) like hell today, I picked up a new face wash this weekend and I think I'm either allergic to it or it's a little too intense for me. My face is incredibly dry, flaky and red especially around my eyes and on my eyelids. It seriously hurts to blink, ugh!

But... on a positive note I lost 4 lbs last week and it's supposed to be 80*F today! Woohoo!

  • Our weekend was pretty great. Friday night I went to my favorite Mexican place for margaritas and girl time. We drank far too much, and then Saturday morning I had an 8am vet appointment for yet another dog issue. I swear they just like to make excuses to go visit the people with the Scooby snacks. Ugh. It hurt to get up for that one.

Saturday night we had a wedding for one of DH's coworkers. It was such a good time once the drinks were flowing. We were really the only ones on the dance floor, so I'm glad they invited a ton of work people, or it might have been a really sad wedding to attend. The setup was awful at their venue. We were all up in a loft, while the wedding and most of their guests were the floor below us. It was this railing we had to keep sticking our heads out of to see what was happening. After dinner, we just stayed downstairs.

Sunday was a total recovery and nap day. Even Jackson decided it was best to just sleep all day. For whatever reason, though, he hated being in his crib until his 4pm nap. He apparently decided that was bed time and we had to wake him up around 8 for a bottle/diaper change so he wouldn't wake us up all night long. Thankfully it was only his 2 normal feedings. I'm still dragging today, despite all the napping.

    Happy Monday everyone!

  • Yay Kyle!

Katz - loved the pics on FB!

We had a good weekend. Had an amazing dinner Friday night at a gastropub and then saw Journey! DH had been coming down with a cold all last week and it finally got him Saturday. So I did the errands and hit the gym while he lounged around. Yesterday was just a bunch of laundry and teaching my mom over the phone how to use Pinterest!

  • Good morning ladies. We had a nice but busy weekend. I took Friday off to clean and cook basically all day. When I put Olivia to bed that night I noticed her two bottom teeth came in. I was so excited but it's no wonder she's been cranky.

Saturday we had LO's baptism. It was a hectic day from morning to night but everything went well and we had a great day. It was nice to be able to spend time with our family and friends and see how much they all love Olivia.

Yesterday we spent most of the day cleaning and resting in between. My parents came over to help clean which we appreciated. They also brought dinner and it was nice not to have to cook.

Today should be low key. I forgot my lunch so I'll probably get Subway and spend the afternoon training the new guy. Hope everyone has a great day.

  • I have a lot to do today, so I hope that I can get it done, between work and school.  I have sinus infection which isn't helping anything.

I spent 3 hours in the ER yesterday with DH.  He dropped a 3quart pot full of (cold water) on his foot when he was doing the dishes.  He didn't break anything but has a deep tissue bruise, so he can't really walk.  DH not being able to walk means that I am in charge of taking the dogs out.

Saturday I was suppose to go to hot yoga but was a few minutes, and she locks you out if you are late.  I was bummed, I did get to spend the morning with two of friends though. I spent Saturday evening watching crap t.v. and doing homework, it was wonderful.
