First weekend away sans baby!
We are going to a B&B in the Finger Lakes this weekend, and leaving the baby with my parents. She's done overnights with them before, but never two nights in a row.
We are so excited to be able to SLEEP as late as we want :-) But also sad because we will miss her!
And she just started walking yesterday, so I feel like we are going to miss a LOT. :-(
Re: First weekend away sans baby!
OMG, she's walking already!?!? I remember you posting about just starting to read the TCOYF and talking to your DH about trying for a baby! Where did the time go?
And yay for a weekend of sleeping in! You'll have a great time! You'll definitely miss her, but she will have such a blast hanging out with her grandparents (and they get to spoil her a little too). First time we left Sasha to go on vacation with DH, she was 11 months old (and also just started walking literally a few days before we left, lol). I swear she didn't even notice, she had so much fun with the grandparents!
Enjoy your weekend with DH!
Bubblegum Explosion
Aww...Im sure you'll miss her to pieces, but YAY for a little time alone!
Enjoy yourselves!

Well, it was FAB! I love that region! We stayed at a B&B on Cayuga lake (literally ON the lake) and the views were BREATHTAKING. We hit it at the perfect time for the fall foliage - there could not have been more color, seriously.
The wineries in that area are so much fun! We went to two wineries and a cidery and were pretty drunk pretty quickly :-) We've been to Napa wineries, where they charge you $25 a person just for a tasting, so the $1 and $2 tasting here were a real treat. And you get to taste so many wines! We had lunch at a winery and dinner at our B&B, both delish. We went hiking to see Taughanock falls, and for a run through the park. Everything was lovely, we will definitely be going back!
