I liked it, but I didn't love it. The food was good, but not exciting or innovative. We each had a salad and I had the pork cheeks and H had the burger. The burger was really good, the meat was delicious for being a burger. The pork cheeks were good, but nothing that I'd crave again. (In fact, the pork cheeks a Peyresol were better)
We skipped dessert there because we were short on time. Was it me or was the service super slow?
What did you guys think?
BTW, was it you sitting in the back corner of the front part (not near the window, but along the benches) of the restaurant? I told H that I thought it was you, but he called me a stalker, so I didn't come and ask.
If it was you then we were sitting like 2 or 3 tables from you.
ETA: And how was the concert?
We loved all our food, we both did the 5 course tasting menu with wine pairing. Our biggest complaint was service was slow.
Yah I was sitting against the wall near the window to the bar. Were you in a blue dress? (haha now I sound stalkerish!)
Concert was good. We missed Night Ranger because dinner took so long. Foreigner played great and really had the crowd on their feet. I loved Journey, but our seats we're the greatest so on some of their songs we got a lot of speaker feedback.

I'm jelly that you did the tasting menu. I really wanted to do it, but we were so short on time that I was afraid we were going to miss our concert if we did it.
Thankfully we didn't do the tasting menu because we got to our concert about 10 minutes before the band came on.
I'm sorry that you missed some of your concert! The slow service was super annoying.

I'd probably give it another chance, our food was really good, but I would allow for more time. I've done a 16 course tasting menu in 3 1/2 hours and this 5 course one took almost 2 1/2.
Haha, now I don't know if I should feel like more or less of a stalker. I suppose it's ok since you knew it was me too. We can't both be stalkers if we were stalking each other?
I don't know if I'd choose to go back to Spur, but if someone I knew wanted to go there, I'd feel ok going back.
No cocktails for me - we had the personalized wine pairing with our tasting menus.
