Hats off to the nesties in the North!!
I always dream about living in London but when I woke up this morning to the rain pouding down, it took all the strength I had to get out of bed. I dont know how you guys do it every day. I cant believe winter is just around the corner.
I just want to go back to bed with a good book and hot coca. Anyone enjoying good weather today?
Re: Hats off to the nesties in the North!!
I have a hard time with grey/wet weather too, despite being used to it here!
Today's lucky: bright blue sky & sunshine, though it's quite chilly.
We had a nice morning, cool and brisk, but blue skies. Now it's clouding over.
I like the rain, like I like having four seasons- it makes you appreciate changes in weather, like blue skies or snow or warmth... I think living in LA would be incredibly boring, weather-wise.
I sort of agree, I don't think I took advantage of the nicer weather when I had it in Pgh since I knew I'd have another nice day soon. Here, if it's a nice day, I practically run outside.
However, I find the weather in Scotland to be the huge sticking point to my DH's argument of staying here 'forever'. I really, really struggle with it. It's so rainy and so dark and so depressing!!

It is because most of the time you know the forecaster will say "hazy sunshine." However, when there is something new to report it's big. When it rains it will rain for 3 weeks straight. Then you have wildfires to worry about that fall and then mudslides after that when the next year's rain comes. A postcard I saw once says it all, "California's four seasons: floods, fires, mudslides, earthquakes.
