Hornets and Hairy pits

We have a hornets nest in our attic. At least I think they are hornets, they all start to look the same after a while of internet searching. H and I found a few dead ones changing the lightbulb in our shower on Friday afternoon, and saw two lives ones, which we killed. Saturday I found a few more, one in the morning, one later that night, NBD.

Last night I went to shower before bed and found seven on the wall/window/mirror, and twice as many up inside the shower light. I killed the ones in the room and hauled azz out of there. I put a rug rolled up in front of the door and a basket of laundry holding that in place.

Did I mention H is out of town? I couldn't sleep because I was afraid I was going to wake up to a swarm. I showered in the guest bath, without my razor or any of my regular stuff, hence my hairy pits today.

Exterminator comes at 1pm, btw.

  • The only saving grace is that it's so cold in the attic they are totally disoriented when they get into the bathroom. Some of them just fell straight into the shower. They aren't very active.

    Stupid fvcking bees.

Indifferent   Hornets in the attic can never be a plus side.  Ever.  But you just made me feel a lot better about how much I hate my bathroom, so I owe you a drink!
