Getting slightly worried. Found myself daydreaming during Dexter last night.
I know it will get better but I just feel like the plot isn't developing fast enough or enough in general...I hate to say it because I LOVEEE this show, but it is almost kinda...meh.
The horse episode that we've been waiting since ep. 1 to see was nothing too exciting.

I agree. I still love it, but it's moving a little slow this season. I'm also having a hard time picturing Colin Hanks as a psycho killer. He's got way too much of a babyface. Edward James Olmos has a good creep factor, but the two of them are a weird pairing.
I think Deb is going to be hooking up with the new detective in no time. And Quinn needs to stop raiding A.C. Slater's closet!
I totally agree. I was scrolling through facebook on my phone during the episode.
This is totally nitpicky, but why don't they have an ME? They referred to the ME last night, but really? They wouldn't have noticed the paper in the guy's eye?
I think Deb is going to hook up with the new detective, also. Vince's intern is going to be a problem, we certainly have not seen the last of her.
I thought the angel killing was creepy.
LOL...last night I said "well it looks like that is going to be Deb's new guy to fk" lol.
The ending was much better than the rest of the episode. I think it will start getting better next week...(I hope)
Quinn was sweet when he freaked and said "watch out Deb, it could be another trap!" It's so obvious he isn't over her. Although now that he isn't with her, he will start reminding me again of his character on Gossip Girl (Jack Bass/arsehole)

In the previews for next week, Dexter had his killing ensemble on so I got kind of excited.
Everythime I see Colin Hanks, I see Woody from Toy Story.
The Angel killing was sick, i hope the story line progresses and Im intrested to see dex/brother sams relationship develop.
Mos Def is a talented actor.

I agree that it's moving a bit slowly, but I'm hoping now that they've laid a decent foundation for the Doomsday Killer that it will speed up. I'm surprised that they already have a lead on who the Killer is - it seems too soon!
I like Mike from Chicago and like the idea of he and Deb together. I hated Quinn and LOLed about PPs comment regarding his wardrobe.
I never knew that Mos was such a talented actor and I dig Brother Sam. I can't wait to see how his storyline develops and where his relationship with Dexter goes.
I like the recent eps more than the early-season ones where I felt like the "victims" were kind of sloppy afterthoughts on Dexter's part.
I hope Deb doesn't sleep with someone she supervises, I know she has personal issues but that's just too dumb. I like the conflict among the detectives, though.
What was LaGuerta up to with that necklace -- was she trying to make Deb look unprofessional (I didn't think it was so bad) or was it just false sincerity to make her other advice seem sincere?
It's extremely nitpicky, but I also didn't like Dexter acting as ME, or how in 30 feet of intestines he found a tiny folded number in like 10 seconds. :-) I think the Revelations killers are nicely creepy, although I think it's a little too easy how quickly they zeroed in on EJO.
I think LaGuerta giving her the necklace was both her trying to help Deb feel a little more professional looking AND that it was her way of saying well, now you are the one who has to put on the dog and pony show (like, here is your collar).

Agree with what has been said but I've thought every season started slowly and steadily picked up. I have faith! It will get better. Like, next week. lol

I'm really enjoying Mos too, he's been the best addition to this season, imo. I hope he's not still a bad guy!! That would seriously bum me out, lol. My theory varies -- I think he truly is a changed man. I think Dexter will end up confiding in him or something will come about so that Dex reveals his truest self to him. Then Mos will end up offering himself up as the 'sacrificial lamb' and in the process--save Dex and help him bring the Doomsday Killers to justice.

the angel thing totally creeped me out. worst than the snakes i think.
i can see travis as a bad guy only because he is so brainwashed. i was really sad for the angel girl.
angel and quinn were cracking me up when they were talking to deb!
I was thinking the same thing! But I doubt it would have made good TV if he didn't find it so fast.
