AW: Crochet baby hat and booties

I made these for my cousin's daughter. They crocheted up pretty easily. I just never know which is the right side or wrong side of the crochet.

  • Aww that is so sweet.  Very girly but I like that the colours aren't pale.  Pretty!
  • Those are so cute!  I can't wait to learn how to crochet (I'm a knitter).

  • Very cute--especially the booties!  The more experience you have with crochet, the easier it will be for you to tell the right/wrong side.  Once you can "see" it, the front of the stitch looks very different from the back :)

Haha! I've been crocheting pretty regularly for 8 years. I just always end up getting things turned inside out at some point and forgetting which way should be right. This time I tried looking at the pictures of the project on Ravelry... and found about half each way! I think the slits in this pattern kind of makes the inside look more finished that the outside.

I figure no one but me (and now you guys) will ever know that it might be inside out though.

  • absolutely adorable!
