Hypnotherapy report

I am back and it was amazing!  What we tapped into was so emotional because the past two times that I have taken my CFP exam was such a horrible time in my life.  The first was right before we split up and things were awful, and the second time was right after we split up and I was eight months pg.

He talked to me about getting in touch with that place I was at during that horrible time in my life and it was hard to go back there.  Tears were streaming down my face when I thought of all of those horrible times with XH and the abuse that I went through.

Then he said "now pick up those pieces and put them back together and have gratitude that you had the strength to get out of that situation and learn you will never again be in a relationship like that."  He then took me to a place where I have passed the exam and I am celebrating with friends and family and reaching out to the lost, broken person that I was and bringing her into the present.

I feel so much better.  More calm.  More at peace.  I feel like I let it all out when I never could before.  I couldn't really grieve what I went through because I went into survival mode.  Now I have released that and moved past it and am ready to pass my test and have an awesome life!

Re: Hypnotherapy report

  • I remember your OP on this, so I'm glad you updated.  Sounds like it worked for you, which is definitely a plus.  When do you sit again for the CFP?

I take it November 18th and 19th, it's a ten hour exam, broken up over two days.  We scheduled another session for the Tuesday before, but he said it may not be necessary.

  • That's so cool! I'm glad you had such a great experience, you deserve it!
  • Sounds like an awesome experience.  Good luck on your CFP exam.  I am sure you will pass.  I really going to look into hypnotherapy.  I am stressed loads and I need some relief.

I'm a big fan of this - big fan I say.

  • Wow, sounds really interesting. I'm glad you had the opportunity to try this!
  • I'm glad you liked it! I was so weary when my lawyer told me about it and kept insisting (pretty much tellin me I had to) but it was absolutely amazing. I was so relaxed afterwards.

  • I am glad hypnotherapy went well for you. Thanks for sharing your experience, I never really thought about how "survival mode" can get in the ways of healing.  I am still in my "survival mode" but yet I can tell my body is not ready to let that go.  After all "survival mode" is something I've done all my life.
  • Glad you had a positive experience.  I'm going to have to think about being in survival mode...interesting...

Nice.  Are you local to Jersey?  I only ask because I know someone taking it those exact same days so I thought it was a little small-worldish lol

  • That's awesome! So glad you had a positive result... can't wait to hear how the exams go... sure you'll do great!

  • Glad it went well! I can relate to survivor mode.

No, I'm actually taking it in Cali.  But I do an online course through the College for Financial Planning and there might be some people in my class that you know (people from all over the country, a lot work for Edward Jones).

  • Ooh.  It's actually my xh.  I know he was just away last week for some type of crash course to prepare for the test and takes the real deal those two days.

I know the sweat and tears the modules have caused for him, so I give you serious credit for doing this for yourself.  I think it's awesome.
