Morning ladies! How is everyone? What are you up to today?
QOTD: What is your dream in life?
Re: Morning!
Morning. All is well in the mouse house. I'm hoping to get my hair cut today and passport pictures taken, we'll see if that happens.
QOTD: I'd love to own my own (small) barn with a few (large) ponies. I love to ride and ponies are just fun! I'd also like to teach beginners, I find that the trainers here end up pushing their students further than they should be. I believe in a good base to start on!
Morning! I am getting ready for work, we have playgroup today with baby L. I am in dire need of caffeine. agh.
QOTD: I don't know...win the lottery lol
Morning everyone! I'm in the middle of my workweek since we have a 4 day weekend this weekend. Yay for Turkmenistan's 20th birthday (more on that later). Trying to get a memo on something ridiculous done today.
QOTD: I don't know yet. I'm not sure I've found my calling and that makes me sad. So maybe my dream is to figure out what I really want to do and then do it successfully? If not, the lottery will do!
Good morning! I'm doing well today. I rode my bike this morning, now I'm hunkered down to work for the rest of the day.
QOTD: My dream is for H and I to both have jobs that are somewhat flexible in terms of timing and location. Mine is right now, but H's job is pretty awful; he is often gone for 14 hours/day for work.

Morning! LO has been sick for the last couple of days and it seems to be getting worse, so a trip to the pedi might be in the cards for this afternoon. :-(
QOTD: My dream is for DH and I to have jobs that allow us lots of time together and family time. I'm hoping once I finish my PhD that I can get started with at-home translating, and ideally he would eventually just work a PT job and take care of my administrative stuff PT so I could concentrate on translating. I can make more per hour when I'm actually translating than he can at his job, so if I could get enough jobs then it would make financial sense and would allow us to both be more flexible in terms of spending time with kids.
Morning. Gotta clean the kitchen today, and I have a few things planned to cook. I also need to update the blog. I feel so bad that I haven't posted a new recipe in a few days.
QOTD: Open my bakery. I've always wanted to have one since I was about 3 years old, helping my mom make cookies in the kitchen. Hopefully that dream will be a realization once D is in school.
Morning all. I'm sitting here freezing in the office. I don't think they've figured out how to turn the heat on yet. Until they do, I'm going to have to stop wearing skirts and dresses! Otherwise just a normal day at work. I have an appointment with my physio later on and DH and I are going to the gym after work.
I could have written this for myself! I would love to find something to do that I'm really happy and good at.

Morning! I've been up since 4am alternating between peeing and lying awake in bed--third trimester is a freakin' blast.
Today I am having lunch with the frlcb and her kiddos! Yay, love gtgs. Then I'm off to run a couple errands and I have to start washing the mountain of baby clothes and blankets at some point this week. The parents are coming this weekend to help set up the nursery, start our stash of homemade freezer dinners and generally get some things crossed off my to do list.
QOTD: I am living it. In the not so distant future, I want to go back to school and get my Master's in Creative Writing.
My Israel Blog!
Afternoon! I'm taking a quick coffee break. I'm right there with Skeks. H woke up at 3:30, which woke me up and of course I didn't fall asleep until almost 7. By the time I got out of the house, I was late for work, on the busiest day of the month. Sigh, can't wait for this day to be over.
QOTD: I've always generally wanted to not have a boring life, to have a successful and happy marriage, a strong family and to feel financially stable. So far, I tick all of those boxes.
morning! I have a podiatrist appt this morning to decide if I need another foot surgery:(
This. I decided that I want I use my jd for something and am trying for a clerkship with a nj fam law judge--really took an interest after my divorce. Yay for finding a path and a plan
That is awesome! I've been thinking that I may want to get into mediation one day. I did a clinic in law school and really enjoyed it. Some of the most interesting stuff in mediation relates to family law (well, families trying to avoid needing to resort to family law and come to a solution without lawyers and court involvement).
Thanks, I appreciate the encouragement
I decided that I am not a fan of recruiting and with all of my schooling, it would help to do something productive with it. I feel like I lost 2 years of practice ('09 grad) but its never too late to do something (it's not like I'm going into big law or it would be too late! :P ) Plus it will give me some "experience" which is what I'm lacking to get a job at a small/med firm...and my divorce lawyer has become a good friend and advocate for my career! It's a win win win situation
I have a friend who does family law in CA and she seems to be one of the most satisfied lawyers that I know, at least in private practice. Would your divorce lawyer be able to give you some help finding something at another small/med firm in the area (may be a bit weird to work for them)?
In any case, good luck! I think it's awesome that you have found something that you have an interest in that can use your JD!
