I also inherited my Granny's Blue Danube China. I never received any of my accent pieces for my Lenox china, but I just mix these in with them instead. It's a little way of having her there at special occasions:

Flatware is Oneida Kenwood stainless. My MIL was appalled that I didn't register for silver, but there was no way people were going to fork out (forgive the pun) the cash for silver, and no frickin' way I was going to hand wash and polish it every time I wanted to use it.
I don't know how to make it clicky.

I think my flatware is the same as 1/2pint, but it might be Eternal, not Federal.
After I registered for the Lenox Solitaire White and started getting lots of it, I realized that my mom's china, Lenox Moonspun... which is all the same shapes as the Lenox Solitaire Ivory, just with a white design on it. I sort of wish now I'd done the Ivory so I could mix them but maybe I still can.

While the basic silver bands are pretty, I knew I wanted a little something different, but I knew I'd still like it years from now. I actually picked the pattern out over 10 years ago when my grandmother asked me to pick one. She says it was because she was at a loss for gift ideas, but I took it as her believe that I was never going to get married. By the time I got married I had 4 place settings and a serving bowl. None of which were given to me by my grandma!

These are all so pretty! We didn't register for china or crystal, just cheap everyday stuff from Macys. It chipped pretty badly and we just replaced it this year. Now we have something similar to this set from Dillards (ours is a lighter color)
But honestly, what we use pretty much all the time is some combination of those and this:
The classic sippy cup and my favorite plastic tumbler from Mardi Gras 2003.
Melrrr, I LOVE your china. I actually wanted to get something very similar but DH didn't like it. I'd like to eventually get some colored accent plates to go with the ones we have.
Ours have already been posted. China is Lenox Murray Hill like Pagas posted, and crystal is Gorham Lady Anne Platinum like sad posted. Can't remember our flatware pattern, but I know it's from Oneida.
Our dinnerware is Sone China, the pattern is Angelique. It has been discontinued & I cannot find any photos. My drink ware & flatware are not anything special, just Ikeaware, lol.
That's exactly why I picked it! Glad I'm not the only one that picked something inexpense! I do love it and love that I can put it in the microwave too...

I didn't realize it was DW safe until we had dinner at your house and I saw you had the same. You told me that it was!
We picked it because it was about $40 a place setting, so as you said above we wouldn't freak out if something broke. I have found larger serving pieces that are almost identical (not that while with a silver band is tough to match) at Pier 1.
Of course Josh thinks the plates are too small. He thinks the platter should be the dinner plate. Boys.
I also have some of the Mikasa Stephanie wine glasses. I bought 4 when I was about 22 and to this day still consider them to be my first grown up purchase!
