I made Les's suggestion for jalapeno poppers last night. Mmmmm bacon and spicy. I ate way too many and felt gross after, but damn they were tasty!
We thought we had one of the contractors from Derek's site coming over after work tomorrow to quote for the glass for the shower we built over a year ago, so Derek and Erin frantically cleaned the house for nearly 2 hours. I got home and it was spotless. They did such a great job. Now, to keep it (or at least the kitchen!) clean!
Tonight, no real plans, I'm hoping to get in a workout and a walk.
How is everyone else today?

We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?

Re: Good Morning!
Morning ladies.
Well my mood is ok. Yesterday my team was informed that they need to reduce head count by 2 full time employees, by the end of first quarter. So now we all sit on the edge of our seats waiting to see if our manager will tap us on the shoulder. It sucks. My manager told me, I am safe, but honestly you never know. I think that whomever is chosen will happen in Dec or early January. I am hoping that others on my team who are actively looking for jobs get one before it happens. Then there wouldn't have to be a reduction. So now I have to sit here, continue to give it my all, and pray I am not one of the selected. One bonus is there is 59 of us total spread out over 3 offices (Chattanooga, Glendale, and here in Portland, ME), I'm praying it won't be more than one of us here. (we have the largest number of people).
Ugh, anyhow I suppose I should get back to work. Have a great day ladies.
Hello ladies. I took kaesha's recommendation from a few weeks ago and made mussels for dinner last night. Quick and yummy, so I'll definitely be doing that again, and maybe experimenting with different recipes.
I have a physio appointment a little later for my back, but otherwise a normal day at work. DH and I are planning on stopping by the gym on our way home to get a swim in. Hopefully I'll have remembered some of the things they told me at my lesson last week.
Cecilia arrived 12 October 2012
Jackson slept for a while after I got home last night, so I was finally able to catch up on cleaning a bit. I also fell asleep through all the Monday night shows that I really enjoy. Oh well. I was more excited to get the extra sleep.
Tonight should be pretty relaxing and just the usual laundry and bottle washing.
To be completely honest this last week has been crap. DH's depression and anxiety has been really hard to deal with lately. I just want him to get done with school so that some of these stresses will be eliminated. Any suggestions as to how I can get myself feeling better so that I can be more productive in helping DH?
Katsblaze- That is terrible! I hope everything works out for everyone there at your job.
Today is our long day at school and I'm already feeling exhausted. Thursday I have a midterm and Saturday is the big FE exam so for the next couple of days I will be studying. I cannot wait for this week to be over.
On the bright side one of my close friend's called me last night to let me know that she was getting married next month. I can't wait for tomorrow night to have dinner with her and catch up.
carrotflower - no advice, but hugs.
I had a productive evening. I stopped by a costume shop after work to pick up a "costume" for a charity dinner on Thursday. I won tickets to it yesterday so I had to come up with something pretty quick. After that I went home and watched the baseball game while cleaning my house. All in all it was a productive evening.
Kats - That's scary. It's no fun having the knife of Damocles swinging over you.
Sushi - YAY! I'm glad you liked mussels. They're so much easier to cook than people think they are.
Carrot - It's hard to be in the position of being supportive when dealing with someone with depression. There's only so much you can do, and it's hard not to be able to help the person you love.
I have a packed day with my drama kids. We have 8 classes left until the big performance, which is being video taped by the news. So... we're in high stress mode right now. There are going to be a few late nights next week, for sure.

Carrot- I completely understand. Just be the best cheerleader you can be. My DH is currently looking for another job and is very nervous/anxious about it. I also remember him in school. All you can do is be there for him. PS sometimes cookies help.
Also way to go on the 5k numbers! I hope I can get that low.
I had a great Fall run yesterday It felt good to get outside even though I've got a cold. I just had to enjoy the weather before it gets to cold.
Last night ended up being much later than we expected. We went to our friend's house to watch The Walking Dead but we told them about the pregnancy and talked about that for a while before getting ready to watch the show. I made a comment that I have to remember to call today about prenatal classes and her DH said that maybe we could all take it together. She's pregnant, too! She's 3-4 weeks behind me. It's so funny because they got engaged the day after us (not knowing DH was going to propose) and now we're pregnant together (without planning that)
Today I'm off work again and hoping to finish my errands today that I didn't get done yesterday. It's supposed to be a beautiful day and I'm hoping to get a longer run in (8 miles) after a bit.
Nice ticker, Beth!
Nothing much exciting going on here. I'm still playing catch-up from being out most of last week, and the boss is back today, which means he'll be crazy and not let any of us get any actual work done.
I am irrationally excited for Taco Tuesday for dinner tonight.

Good morning, ladies!
Aren't those poppers yummy? I want to make them again. Maybe this weekend.
Kats - hang in there. We just found out that our company is being bought, so we're in the same situation. We don't know how many of us will be invited to stay after the merger closes. Or if anyone will be offered relocation. Worst case is a one-year severance pay, but I'm worried about finding something else this good if I get laid off. Why do they always do this right before the holidays?
Anyway - have a great day everyone!
Kats- Sending you safe job vibes!
Carrot - I'm sorry you are having a rough time ::hugs::
I'm going to try to be as productive as possible today at work since it looks like we have the possibility of a snow day tomorrow! From 80*F yesterday to a high of 30*F tomorrow, gotta love Colorado's weather!
Yep. The latest forecast says 4-10 inches of snow tonight and tomorrow. Then back up to 58* Saturday.
Carrots - *hugs*
Katz - hope your job is safe! I hate when they do cuts around the holidays.
I'm getting sick. I'm mad at DH because it's his fault.
I'm swamped this week, but somehow managed to apply for 4 more jobs last night. And I really want to take Friday off for a mental health day..but I really don't have anything I *have* to do.
Hi ladies,
I left work early today because Myles is sick. He has a pretty nasty cold, so we're headed to the pediatrician to make sure everything is OK. This may mean we can cancel our appointment on the 1st if they can get his shots out of the way today, we'll see.
I have training the next 3 days, so I'm looking forward to a break from the classroom.
