This Seller May Be Insane
Just struck me as amusing so had to share...
The selling realtor for the house DH and I are under contract to buy is also the owner. She bought it in '06 as an investment (bad move). Based on her interactions with our realtor we thought maybe she was just pedantic but our very ladylike realtor just proclaimed her a B#%$ after being harassed all weekend lol.
She's tried to pin things that were broken the first time we viewed the house on our inspector. She refuses to use email or a fax machine and then complains about the cost of driving from the other side of town with paperwork. She insisted the company that did our sewer scope put the toilet back on crooked and when they came out to fix it for free, she yelled and swore at them and refused to give them the lock box code to enter and now says she wants to sue them.
Since she refuses to certify the roof after the inspector told us it was quite worn, our realtor told her DH and I would like to come out and get up there ourselves and have a look to see if it was worth fighting over. The seller insisted she wanted her husband or someone present to make sure we "don't jump around on the roof." Which ya know, we would TOTALLY do, especially to a house we'll probably be living in soon!?!? Making sure we don't jump around on the roof kinda sums up the nature of the ridiculous claims/concerns she's been voicing throughout this process. Guess we have a knack for finding the crazies!

Ditto this. People never cease to amaze me with their antics. If you are trying to sell a house you bend over backwards to make it an easy and pleasant experience for the buyers so they don't bail!
