Re: how sweet is this?

  • That is so sweet! I love it!

  • The dogs are sweet, but they were dumped by their owner because they "couldn't cope" and no one has adopted them yet. They've been in a shelter since July, according to the article I read the other day. It's heartbreaking :(
  • Awww, I read that yesterday but not about them not being adopted.  If I lived in the UK I'd be all over it!

I know.  I guess they're in England or something.  I really hope the shelter is open to worldwide adoption for them.  They look so sweet.

  • we already have 1 great dane - and a lab - if we had 4 large dogs in our townhouse, I think dh would kill me.  I think they have been at the shelter so long because they can not be separated and not many people are comfortable adopting a dog with known disabilities.

I hate their owner - how about the poor dog who had to cope with losing her eyes ( not just her sight, but her eyes too ! ) - I just don't know how people can just all of a sudden not care for their pets.

  • another issue is that usually dogs have to be quarantined for weeks (possibly longer) when entering/leaving the country. i really hope someone from the UK can adopt them!

i agree that their owner is an asshat!! i come from a family where dogs are family members so i cannot even fathom giving them up!

  • yeah - I read in the other article that Lily's eyelashes grew into her eye and there was nothing they could do other than remove both eyes ... I would adopt them in a heart beat - I love danes, and I always have a soft spot for the adults with disabilities -- they still have a life to live !

eta - if I see this set of pictures on Pintrest one more time, I'm going to scream -- it always makes me think of a$$clown owners :(
