How happy are you at your job?

On a scale of 1 (miserable) to 10 (wouldn't change anything)? What would make it better or worse?

Re: How happy are you at your job?

  • 9. Not much could make it better except getting paid more and actually having benefits. I wouldn't change anything else though.

  • 6 or 7. I'd like to make more money & I think there's some operational kinks that need to be worked out.

  • 9, it's almost perfect.
  • I guess a 9.  The only thing that might make it a 10, is if I was full time and got benefits.  I'll probably stay home again for a while after baby #2 arrives, so I really don't wish I was full-time anyway.

What would make it better is more home-related than job related and that would  be if I had a nanny to watch DD while I worked from home.

  • I think I'm about an 8. I would like a little more vacation time, more accountability and more flexibility for hours in the office in an ideal world.
  • I am a 5-6 currently. I love the flexibility and vacation time. I do feel like it is time for more challenge/responsibility though.

  • I would say a 9. The only thing that I would change would be to increase my level of responsibility for some of my projects. More money and/or a promotion would be fabulous of course but I'm hoping those things will come with time.

The overtime during our busy periods sucks, it's awful.  Outside of that though, I have it really good.  I can't complain.

  • I'm at a 5 or 6. Without question, I should be making more money. Unfortunately that comes with the territory of small, young companies. Also, since I'm treated as a contractor, there are zero benefits (I do gets 2 wks vacation.) Their communication isn't so great and there are some growing pains that need to be addressed internally. Mainly though it's just not what I want to do. I'd like to stay in Marketing, just a different position. The upside is that I work in a very laid back environment with cool people. It could definitely be worse, but it's not ideal or my dream job by any stretch.

  • I'd say 6 at the moment... with a "heat index" of 8 because I adore the people that I work with.

  • I'm a 5 or 6 right now. I love my company I just don't love what I do. The pay, benefits and vacation are great.

  • Like a 2.  I don't mind the company I work for or the 2 coworkers that are right next to me but the management in the county is really bad and I feel really smothered and deflated 99% of the time.

I've been there for almost 5 years and I feel slightly trapped right now.  I don't know what else or where else I could go and it's frustrating.

  • Eh, I would say a 6.  There is really no room for movement up the ladder unless someone leaves, whihc doesn't seem likely in this office.  The work is also getting boring since it's so repetative.  I have been looking for something new but the job market sucks right now.

  • 6.  I have to say, I love the people I work with, hate the red tape BS that surrounds the school system.
