Anyone have the heat on yet?
I try to wait it out as long as I can before turning on the heat or AC but these cold mornings are starting to get to me. It's fine during the day, sometimes we still have windows open, but it's tough getting out of my cozy bed on these chilly mornings.
Anyone already cave? If not, what's your game plan?

We haven't turned the furnace on, but we do run a small electric heater in the most used rooms and keep their thermostats set on 65. Just enough to keep the chill off. We have oil heat, and when we checked on how much it would cost to fill our tank (over $700) that gave us a lot more determination to keep the heat off as long as possible!
This is us, too. We also get a LOT of sun in the front of the house from about 10:30 until it sets. So I open up the blinds/curtains during the day and the sun keeps us pretty warm in the house. I think it also helps that we are not in an EOG TH. I'd say the house stays around 68* this time of year. Sometimes DH gets cold so he is walking around the house wearing his pajama pants, socks and a hoodie.
I normally this time of year get chilly in the evenings and use my Snuggie. But not this year with being so insulated!
... every single day of forever.
This is us exactly...
We caved.
It's set to 64 though...so really it's just there to take the edge off the morning chill.
My Goodness...another food blog. Featuring: Macarons from a old post with a photo taken by my mom for a break from my crappy food photos!
Not yet! We always aim for Thanksgiving, but usually once it dips below 65 in the house we'll turn it on. We keep the heat at 65, so there's no point in turning it on before then.
Right now I'm always hot, so maybe we'll make it to Turkey Day!
