DH has to do an "ethnic cuisine" project for school. The guidelines are as follows:
You will select and research an ethnic cuisine (not Mexican, Italian, or Chinese). You will first research the cuisine. Next you will sample an entree of the cuisine at an authentic ethnic restaurant.
Following are countries/cuisines that I have allowed in the past and I am open to allowing others if first discussed with me: Spain, India, Cuba, Brazil, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Greece, Ethiopia, Philippines, Ireland, Germany
I would say Japanese food is also out for us since DH is part Japanese and he lived with her grandmother for years so it really wouldn't be a new experience for him. Any suggestions on good local places that meet this criteria?
Re: Help us pick where to eat for DH's project
I took a food creative writing class in college. We went to this Greek restaurant and it was awesome. They were super accomodating to our group of five or six students plus our professor and they put together a whole sampler menu for our group. Very nice owners.

What is the name of the restaurant? It just takes me to a list of Greek restaurants. I'd personally love to do Greek but I think DH may lean toward Thai or Indian, both of which I'm hesitant about. I will definitely try to convince him though.
An excellent and authentic restaurant
We also like Karam's on University Blvd. (Arabic - grape leaves, hummus, kabobs, etc)
How is it that my BABY is going to be 3?

I love Shannon's but it's out since DH and I both worked there and still come in to work occasionally if they need help (which I did this weekend...in a beer girl costume...). We haven't tried any of the Brazilian places yet.
This class has involved several interesting assignments. The previous one sent us to the farmer's market in St. Augustine. He's a nutrition and dietetics major.
I've been to the Mediterrania on Baymeadows Rd. It was excellent!
