Need your crafty ideas-custom calendar
For Christmas, I'm going to make calendars for my parents by taking a pic of my DD in something themed for each month. For example, October will be a Halloween theme & I'll have her in a costume or with pumpkins, etc.
Most months have a specific holiday but a few (May, June, August) I'm not sure what to do for those.
So any ideas you can throw my way for those months, or for any of the months would be great! And I'm trying to do it cheap so any ideas for finding or making outfits/props/etc. would also be appreciated! Thanks!!

Hmm..maybe May being bbq or cookout themed. Have her in an oversized apron holding grilling utensils? June or August, maybe something beach or pool related.

I do a scrapbook calendar for my mom each year. Generally, I look back through what pictures I have. You might have some from this year that would work.
I have used the following "themes"
September/November - raking leaves or sitting on a pile of leaves
August/June - pool, big sunglasses. playground
April - on the playground, in the rain, Easter egg hunting
May - at the arboretum sniffing flowers
I just thought of "April showers bring May flowers." You put your DD in a raincoat, rainboots and an umbrella for April and get a flower costume of sorts for May (unless you were going to do an Easter theme for April).
may is mother's day, maybe something there.
june is father's day
august would be good for pool/beach theme, bbq's and state/church fairs.
April - maybe rain boots and an umbrella?
May - Mothers Day - flowers
June - Fathers Day - wearing Daddys tie, favorite hat, etc?
August - pool or beach theme
September - back to school - apples?
Baby #2 - D&E - 10/1/10 @ 19w2d - thanatophoric dysplasia confirmed.
