Re: POLL: Aunt Flo & Work
Do you guys have a single use bathroom? I couldn't do the Diva because I have no place to rinse that's not public. Also, I imagine that makes quite a mess on the hands, which could also be quite public.
Either way, I commend you!
I don't get it - it is a unisex bathroom like multiple stalls/multiple sinks?? That was more normal in college, but I think a little creepy in the adult world. Hypocrite that I am...
No - it's a 4 stall bathroom. With the Diva, I only have to change it out in the morning and at night... so all in the privacy of my own home. There's only been once or twice that I've had an issue and had to get creative in a public restroom.
I stick the tampon or pad in my bra and head for the restroom.
I really want to switch to the Diva Cup but our stalls are so small that I can see a disaster occurring if I need to empty.
Well, considering the fact that I work at place called the Young Women's Resource Center and we teach girls about periods, sex, and pregnancy, there is obviously no issue with tampons in our office. :-) In fact I have a box of them sitting in my cubicle right now (I give them to the girls)
I'm Diva Cup user so I never have to worry about it anyways.

Like Breaux said, you rarely have to change the Diva Cup. I keep mine in for 12-14 hours--it holds a lot.

I put it in my pocket or waist band of my pants. I work with three men, have to leave our office, walk down a hall in the office building, and there are only two other women on our floor. So, I hide it.
They have wives. They know better.
... and I have to make a bee line with students around in between classes!

I usually try to make this awkward move where I snatch it out of my purse real quick and stuff it in my scrub pocket. Naturally, since I am trying to do it quickly and discreetly - it ends up falling on the floor, making lots of noise, someone sees, etc. I don't know why I care so much.
If I'm out in public - I just take my purse.
