aw: my brothers invite
i left her last name on there because i also wanted to brag that i'm now going to be related to matt damon (yes, *the* matt damon) by marriage. my brother's ladyfriend is matt damons "second cousin" or whatever....their grandparents are cousins....or something.
the invites cost me 4 bucks for a stack of black cardstock from walmart, 4 bucks for a stack of pink, and the white i had leftover from my wedding.. so...let's just say cost about 10 bucks for all the paper. h printed it for me at work, existing gluesticks (let's say $1 for estimate purposes), and i bought 3 packages of rhinestones for $1.75 each.
so the total is about $16, plus let's just overestimate and say $5 on envelopes....i don't remember how much they cost...i bought a mulit pack years ago for all my cardmaking, etc..
so it cost me about $21 give or take for 60 invites...about 3 hours time total. with tons of paper leftover....the stamps to mail these cost more than the invites themselves!
i find it much easier to make when i don't care what it actually looks like (unlike the DIY bilingual pocketfolds with vellum and embossed stamps on every layer for my wedding...)

he called me yesterday and said "did you send the invites out yet?" and i told him no...and he said "good, are they sealed? cause i just registered at macy's too. be sure you put that in there......".
NO. NOT putting registry info in your invites.

And you should totally hold the invites ransom until they invite Matt.
Also - and I know you don't care, haha - do you think your brother will be mad that you didn't include the registry info on the invites (which I totally would have done as well)?

no, i told him i wasn't including it and telling him it's totally rude to do so...he was disappointed, but i told him i put it on his wedding website (which i also made for him).
what i *am* pissed about is i have over 40 invites right now with no addresses to mail them to.
