mostly a lurker but have a ? for you ladies

DH and I have been ttc since last December- I had a mc in March and waited 2 months before trying again.  I haven't been charting or anything but did go online and had a rough estimate of when "according to a computer" I was ovulating.  Again, according to the computer I was suppose to get AF yesterday.  I'm usually earlier than they say so now that I'm two days late I'm getting a little excited... I did take a test last night at 10pm and it was negative.  I have heard that you are suppose to test in the morning, but wouldn't you think that if I'm late already the timing of the test wouldn't matter as much?

What do you suggest I do?  Get another test and do it in the morning or just wait it out?  This is the first time I've ever been late so am having a hard time with the BFN's

Thanks for letting me ramble.

Re: mostly a lurker but have a ? for you ladies

  • First pee of the morning is definitely your best bet. I would go ahead and buy a test today and if AF isn't here in the morning, pee. gl
  • I wouldn't test.

I would start charting ASAP....like start in the morning. You need to know what is going on with your body before any doctor can help you.

    Good Luck.

  • I did temp this morning and it was 97.3 - doesn't seem high enough for a pg does it??

  • You need to temp every morning so you have a baseline. Your normal might not be my normal.
  • A lot of factors can go into temping. Without a baseline tree is no way to temp one day and use that temp to rule out being pg or not. I would get a copy of tcoyf and read on temping. Or head over to the gp board the ladies there have a lot of helpful info. If you don't feel comfortable posting there is a link at the top with info to read thru.
