Pack and Play

Which do you have and like?

I want one that has a changing table, but that can be moved out to the side so that the inside is still a full mat (does that exist?). And it has to have the adjustable heights. The cheapo one we bought for N doesn't have that. And I don't really want a "newborn napper" because we have bouncy seats and R&P's, but I can always take it out.

Preferably something girlie. ;)

Re: Pack and Play

  • We have this (or one very similar to this) one.

It's a Graco brand and came with a changing table (which we honestly never used, not even once - wasn't practical to me when it came down to it). I did however like that it was adjustable height wise for when they are little.

  • Was the changing table moveable?

    Here's my reasoning...

We aren't getting cribs for them right away, but rather they'll sleep in the R&P's. But, I'd like to have a place to lay them together at times- even if it's just for pictures. ;) I thought it would be nice to have a PnP with the changing table so that I don't have to worry about running up to the bedroom w/ the changing table all the time, or having Nolan stepping on them if I do it on the floor, lol.

The more research I do though, it doesn't look like any of the changing tables move. I swear I thought I've seen one before where (like in your picture) it was out to the right instead of over the bed but maybe I'm imagining things. I've looked at all of them on BRU and I don't see one that does.

  • No, the one I have the changing table totally comes on and off. I never had it on there, but it's just one of those things where the pole goes in the hole and has the metal tabs where it can "snap" in... if that makes any sense.

That makes sense! But, can you switch it so that it's "on" but that it's facing the other way?

I'm sorry to be such a pain!

  • We have 3 pack n plays and the Graco Deco has the changer that sticks out off the side.

Tiff- just keep in mind that the newborn bassinet only holds up to 15lbs and my girls together were that at like 1 month, so we never really got to use the bassinet part.  I did use the newborn napper part and put one baby there while I was changing the other.  We used the diaper changer on the PNP until about 6 months when it started to sag cause they were too heavy!!

  • We have this one

The changing table folds up (maybe all the way around, I don't remember). The vibration was awesome...

  • I think Chelsey Miller may have had one--it is a Chicco I think.  I think the reason the tables don't rotate out is there is nothing to support the weight and then the whole thing would tip.

Thanks! I'll look at that one and maybe I'll have to change my mind about exactly what I want... hmmm...

I appreciate the help everyone. :)

  • I'm late, but we have the Baby Trend Monkey Around set with the PNP. Love it. The changing table only holds 15 lbs, like Ranger said, so we didn't use it for long. But it does have the adjustable height thingy. We used that until 2 weeks ago... Landon can sit up now. We kept it as the changing table downstairs instead of going to his room every time.
